No matter whether you're (h) or (a), sometimes you win and sometimes you lose and nobody can tell you not to post that information on the internet.

Newcastle United vs. Wigan Athletic - 03/12/2012 @ 8pm (Sky Sports 1)

Gotta love that midfield and it's passing prowess. -
I'm not certain Hughton would do much better than Pardew with this current squad tbh.... He's succeeding with Norwich because he has the players the fit the style he wants to play like he did with us.... He has Holt to hold the ball up, fullbacks on natural sides and wingers on natural sides for width. He would have none of that here and i'm not convinced he could get the best out of the players we have. I'm also not convinced he would have ever got us to finish 5th at any point, honestly to get the very best out of these players we will need someone better than Pardew and Hughton when all is said and done they are average coaches quite frankly.

If BAE becomes surplus to requirements, would you take him at LB if it meant switching Santon to RB? EDIT: not that we'd even entertain the notion, non-purple player n' all. Aye i would i don't rate BAE that highly but he's still better than Simpson

If Spurs were smart they would take advantage of Rose progress this season and stick him in the first team squad next season. LB is quite a problem area for them and he's looked good every time i have seen him this season.
-
If he's telling the truth then Pardew has some serious questions to answer If Ba doesn't care where he plays as long as we win then why change something that was working so well?
-
If he's replaced by someone who can play wide and upfront like the ones we have been linked with such as Rodrigo, Aubameyang or Remy. Then i don't have a problem with it because honestly unless we give him the contract he wants he will leave anyway. But i don't have much confidence in the board being competent for once either. If he was sold i can see us getting the cheap option and then it's a waste of time.

Football's greatest - where does Lionel Messi rank?

Just shows that if the movement and delivery is on point then size doesn't really matter. -
Not sure we should buy both even if we had the money, the most realistic outcome is 1 of them plus a up and coming striker to be a back up to put Shola back to 4th choice.
-
Remy and Aubameyang are available for around 10m i heard which is less than what we offered for De Jong so.....
-
Don't believe it, just humoring the article for discussion.

As long he's not at AFCON ( the forward in question) and can play wide and uptop then we should get away with it until the summer. I agree tbh Ba and Best replacement but i doubt it would happen. Midfield needs total re-working as well and the obvious defenders too but again i don't expect much it's all dreams atm
-
Pardew said it is.

As it stands no one in this squad is worth 90k if its true then hes going to leave whether it's in the summer or Jan i can't see us entertaining the idea of paying him anywhere near 90k. Not to mention with that clause hanging over our heads, he's a great finisher but i don't see a long term future for him if all this is true. Especially with the way this board is, there's no way hes getting anywhere near that and honestly rightfully so. Probably rubbish anyway but if it is true then i don't see him being at the club the start of next season.

Won the CL twice and top scorer 3 years running and probably will do it again this year..... Never been dominate.... yeah right. He's so f*cking dominate that teams have to put 3 men on him ffs -

Anonymous first half, scored a goal that was entirely about poor keeping by a keeper on the verge of retirement. Hardly a performance worthy of being labelled the greatest player ever. Same with the CL final against ManU a few years prior to 2011, scored a header but very quiet otherwise. Messi has also been p*ss poor against Inter and Chelsea in previous seasons, i.e. when up against strong defensive teams, hence why commentators were referencing his lack of goals against English sides prior to the Arsenal game (where he ran riot). And like Arsenal, Madrid are not one of those "strong defensive teams", even under Mourinho (they just end up fouling Messi at every opportunity), though they look to be getting there slowly (i.e. they're looking more like a "team" than a collection of individuals as in previous years). I realise this sounds like I'm picking and choosing who I consider to be "eligible" as a good team, but take Messi out of the equation and I don't think I'm being unreasonable at all. FWIW I can only think of a young Ronaldo (Brazilian) being on a par with Messi, Maradona being a more gifted/complete footballer (less effective though), and possibly Zidane being a better "big game" playmaker, in terms of players from my lifetime, hence why for me I'd want to see Messi have one dominant CL campaign to be the clear "best player". pls go. -
Captains don't necessarily need to be shouting though..... Colo's style of leading by example is just as effective.
-
If that is true he can f*ck off.

Not sure i agree.... If anything we don't have enough creative players outside of Cabaye and Ben Arfa there is no one.... Our problem outside of the obvious tactics, gameplan and mentality that is well established is that we cannot keep the ball and thus overrun constantly i'm not sure how getting more steel would help it's really not the problem. If we look at our available midfielders our most creative player is Anita and he's a freaking DM there's clearly an issue in that area. Personally i think the midfield needs to be completely re-worked..... Jonas needs to be replaced with someone like Sissoko or Diame( not saying them particularly but someone of that style) and Cabaye needs a back up because without him well you can see with your own eyes what happens.
