Same, i know Ronaldo scored all those goals but the main reason for that was that ridiculous supply line behind him. Dinho, Rivaldo, Carlos and Cafu ffs and i felt Rivaldo was the main supply line and as mentioned he scored a load himself. Ridiculous player and what a ridiculous team that was.

Wasn't just the goal it was what it meant..... last minute over head kick to complete a hatrick and a CL place Anyway he was one of my favourite players growing up i use to love watching him and Kluivert was just a joy to watch. His free kicks were immense ( reoccurring theme with these past players ) and as mentioned in full flow he was so exciting. My lasting memory of him was 2002 WC and that team and that front 3 and my personally belief that he was the best player at that tournament. Ronaldo had just come back from injury and didn't seem as explosive as he once was, but it didn't matter because this guy was behind him creating chances and coming up with unbelievable magic. Was my favourite non-nufc player until Ronaldinho came along but will always be remembered fondly by me.

For 4-3-3 to work we need to be playing Marveaux in Cabaye's position and Ben Arfa needs to get back fit..... So it wouldn't work at the moment anyway but long term i agree i don't think Cisse would continue not scoring any if we went back to the same system and playing style as last year. Cisse's suffering is due to playing style and system IMO which attributes to a lack of service, of course it's not as easy as change the system because the playing style and mentality needs to be sorted out as well and players need to be moving off the ball and passing. Knick a win against Wigan and after that start playing 4-2-3-1 with Anita-Tiote; Ben Arfa-Marveaux-Ba; Cisse until January and hopefully we get some reinforcements and some players come back and save the season from a total disaster. Won't happen but we can hope.

the problem is Cisse HAS been playing up front. Not by himself but he's been up front and has not been scoring. He was scoring in a 4-4-2 last season. Ba should stay in the middle and someone else should go wide. Cisse's general play won't improve, neither will his finishing if we play him central of a 3. If you play a 4-3-3 and the middle striker is not scoring, most likely you'll have poor results. We can't carry that with Cisse. why can't we have movement and awareness ? Because Pardew is manager.

This is how it will go down.... Atletico will create 20 chances and score 1 and Real will create 3 and score 3. It's f*cking inevitable.

I'd rather sort the midfield and the front line out first..... both need a complete overhaul. The reason we are so trash defensively is because we are overrun in midfield every f*cking game so the defence don't get much cover so it's easy to get at them.

Your comparing the best team in the world to a team coached by Diego Maradona. Apples and Oranges mate. He's more or less the EXACT same type of player Ba is. Ba's not Drogba either but he's managed to BE A GOALSCORER this season. Ba's a finisher and he's finished chances, Cisse hasn't. Ba hasn't had great service either but he's scored goals. He's scored from the scraps we've given him and he'll score as long he's played centrally in any system atm. I can't say the same for Cisse. I'll repeat. Cisse was scoring freely in a 4-4-2 last season. I can think of 3 goals off the top of my head. His confidence is gone and that will only return once he starts putting a few away. Ba is more suited to long ball and 4-4-2 than Cisse is and it's not even close..... Cisse never scored freely in 4-4-2 last season either.... Cisse has had no service at all this season...... Also you talk about his confidence.... that's hardly going to improve being shafted out till the wing, williamson flinging the ball to his head expecting him to outmuscle giant CB's and being subbed off constantly....

Honestly i was basing that on recent weeks not on the season as a whole.... recent game's i have seen him give the ball away with simple 2 yard passes more often than hollywood passes. I won't deny he has done overall this season though, he use to play it simple and was very accurate in past seasons but this season he can't even do that. Of course we haven't seen anything from Cisse He's a finisher who relies on service but instead we hoof to him expecting to him be Drogba 2.0 or play him on the wing As a said before players can only perform as much as the system and style of play will allow them to. Case in point: Messi best player in the world under Barca's system.... goes to World Cup under Maradona's awful tactics and looks average by comparison.

Cisse is awful out wide the fact we are even discussing it is ridiculous If Cisse is going to be deployed out wide you might as well not play him at all, complete waste of a footballer and a great footballer at that.

Most people want 3 in midfield no? then surely we would need a link between the DM and Cabaye.... whether that's a box to box midfielder linking through his runs or a playmaker linking through with his passes. I do feel the midfield needs a complete overhaul, also not convinced Tiote and Anita can work long term.

Thing is Tiote doesn't give the ball away due to hollywood passes he gives the ball away through simple 2 yard sideways passes. It's the simple shit he's struggling with. I also don't believe he would be successful as a box to box. ( i would actually have more faith in Jonas in that role) If we want to use Anita as DM, Cabaye with more attacking intent then i think we need to buy a box to box midfielder as we don't really have any.
