Aye i agree with that.

He's still the weakest player in our first choice XI. True but even so with how we are playing at the moment i'm not sure we would get the best out of almost any signing we would make. The way we are playing is more of a concern to me at the moment than any potential signings.

Nothing in that and even if it were we have much bigger problems than upgrading Simpson now unfortunately.

West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll

Fellaini would be great tbh but alas it's something only possible on Fifa or FM. I don't actually have a problem with long ball, what i have a problem with is playing a style which quite clearly doesn't work. I love watching Everton play this season tbh the passing through midfield and stretching the pitch with Baines/Pienaar and Mirallas/Coleman and mixing up with the long ball to Fellaini is great to watch IMO. -
Pardew has done nothing atm to suggest he is in Moyess class Moyes' first season at Everton he took over part-way through and kept them from relegation. Moyes' second season at Everton they finished 7th. Moyes' third season at Everton they finished 17th, narrowly avoiding relegation. So very different from Pardew's reign at NUFC? Moyes didn't have a track record of previous premiership failings, particularly the season after a successful one What failings? West Ham? the same West Ham when he was clearly undermined by the board.... Other than that i can't think of any other failings and in any case he finished 5th last season for crying out loud and despite the poor start to the season we are 3 points behind Spurs and it's only f*cking November. Reminds me of the same people that wanted Sir Bobby out after our failed CL qualification, have some patience.

It's not really about being a laughing stock tbh, it's more about the fact that the only real reason to sack him ( if there is any at all) is the style of play and quite frankly we gave him a 8 year contract for a reason. Give the man time to implement a successful style for this team, not to mention if we won a few on the bounce ( seems a long shot at the moment i know) everyone would love him again. Patience is definitely a virtue we are only in November and it's not like the top 6 have broken away from us. Fully behind Pards tbh, the way we play at the moment pisses me off but not to the extent i want him sacked.

Yohan Cabaye (now sporting coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain)

Completely agree which is the entire point i'm making we should be playing a way that suits the players we have not playing a way that suited Carroll, Nolan, Barton etc etc. -
He did miss chances in that run it's just we was creating so many in and around the box for him that he would usually score a couple too. I mean even against Wigan when he didn't score he hit the bar/post twice and Al-Habsi made a great save. The problem is he has had no service in and around the penalty area. I think he had something like 40 shots in the second half of last season and i'd take a guess that the majority where really good chances that in and around the box. Sure he scored some ridiculous goals like the one against Villa, Swansea and of course Chelsea but were actually making chances for him in and around the box. We are not this season, it's not the only issue we have but it's still a massive concern.

Oh i know i'm just making the point that we should be playing a way that suits these players not looking for players that suits long ball. But really that horse has been beated enough already so i'm probably going to stop bringing it up. -

Point is we shouldn't be playing long ball to begin with. -

That's not really a Cabaye issue that's more of a team issue, the whole team looks devoid of movement of link up play and starts with Pardew and the backroom staff. It's easy to blame certain players but quite honestly at this moment in time it's the team as a whole that's an issue than an any individual. -

West Ham are currently 6th. 4 points ahead of us. They've just beaten us. At home. Nolan scored the winner. (plus their goal difference is +3 when ours is -3) Yep and West Ham are going to stay there all season -
Hart Santon Mertesacker Verthongen Riise Diame Mulumbu Mata Fellaini Suarez RvP FYI i don't think Hart has been that good but i couldn't think of many others

If you want someone to fit this style of play we might as well buy Barton, Nolan, Carroll and Enrique back and sell Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Cisse and Santon.... Yay for bottom half finishes. -
Considering how we play i'm not surprised....

Don't agree with the first bit at all. When a player isn't pulling their weight consistently, they'll be criticised like everybody else. Cabaye (at home) has been largely anonymous all season. He stands next to his midfield partner almost all game and his corners are mostly awful. Not that I disagree about the second bit, but we scored twice in the Reading game which is rare for us. I agree that he is crap in 4-4-2 but that's the entire point of the matter we shouldn't be deploying him there he's proven how fantastic he is playing in front of 2 holding players and behind the main striker. He performs for us in 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3, he performed for Lille in those systems he performs for France in those systems it's quite obvious where he needs to be playing consistently. Not picking the ball up from the bloody CB's and watching the ball fly over his head. -

Cabaye was a big reason why we finished 5th with Nolan we didn't even get into the top half this is getting ridiculous now. -

Before yesterday he'd notched in his 2 previous Premier league games, and even yesterday he had a good chance towards the end which went narrowly over. I'm in no way justifying his likeness to Xavi, that's quite ridiculous. Although, if i remember correctly, didn't this comparison come from his play for France? It did he's Xavi like in the way he plays for France style wise..... for us he's obviously not used properly. Also Cabaye flourishes nearly every time he plays in 4-3-3 he scored a fantastic goal last week and suddenly he's crap and we want Nolan back Put Xavi in 4-4-2 and see how fantastic he looks, i can guarantee you this right now he wouldn't look the half the player he does but fortunatly for him he has managers that understand this and give him the platform to perform instead of kicking the ball over his head. Cabaye is the last person people should lambasting..... do i need to remind everyone how awful we looked against Reading without him? You can't expect players like Cisse, Ben Arfa and Cabaye to perform in a system like this it doesn't matter how good of players they are but if they are not given the platform to perform then they won't. -

And neither do we. We should do we have the players for it but instead of playing to our strengths we are currently playing a way which clearly doesn't suit the team. 95% of the league play better football than us and are we telling us that 95% of the league have better players? no chance. Hell West Ham play better football than us. -
Ba playing on the left wasn't the reason he didn't score it was confidence and fitness he had chances but he wasn't taking them and personally i felt Ba's all round play was better when he played on the left the driving runs, flicks, passing and all round interchanging with his team mates was fantastic. It will never happen again though.

having the most technically gifted midfielder in a deep position seems disturbing , but when you look at busquets , pirlo , verratti , arteta , allen , schweinsteiger, Miguel veloso etc.. It´s becoming a new rule of modern football , cabaye have more "football IQ" than tioté , cabaye vs Spain in second half as a n°6 That's fine and dandy for them but unlike those teams we don't have playing like Iniesta, Ozil and Moutinho ahead of Cabaye. If we had an AM who was creative and could pitch in with some goals then fair enough but players Cabaye deeper than Tiote is ridiculous. Everyone knows what we need to do anyway except for Pardew apparently.

I agree with you tbh i just can't see it happening.
