As said before he seems a perfect fit for the role Jonas had in the 4-3-3 last season, there's nothing wrong with being a tidy midfielder that keeps things ticking over infact id argue if we are going to improve in possession players like him will be pivotal i thought he had a good game last night. Also a lot of people seem to have forgot he put in a fantastic through ball for Shola in the first half which led to a free kick that Cabaye hit the side netting with, if that was Ba or Cisse running onto it it probably would have been a goal. Sure he should have scored in the first half as well, but he's a midfielder that keeps things ticking over and has the vision to play through balls so it's not entirely surprising that his finishing is not the best.

I'm pretty confident if we played like we did last night against Villa, Norwich and Reading the end result would have been similar to last night. Bordeaux are not a bad side you don't go 18 games unbeaten if you are and they also beat Brugge 4-0 who inturn beat the team we drew 0-0 with last week 2-0. We performed to something like we can and we made them look bad.

We are well placed in that position with Baines and Gibbs in the squad so i for one wouldn't be that bothered.

Has not looked defensively out of place at LB yet, but he has not been tested defensively either. I would love it if he could be the attacking fullback we were looking for to go alongside Santon, would save the club a few pretty pennies too. Not too bothered about having two attacking fullbacks as that was always the plan anyway, if we are to play 4-3-3 then the likes of Tiote, Jonas/Anita etc etc will have to cover the space they leave as it's their job to do so as holding midfielders. Obviously still a lot to prove and learn but he excites me.

I didn't think he was that good last night tbh, but him just being there makes a huge difference to how we play and gives great balance to the whole team. Thought with the signings of Bigi and Anita in the summer we could rest him in certain games and not really see a difference but it's clear they are totally different players and quite frankly more CM's than DM's. We have some nice options ahead of Tiote but quite frankly there's still no replacement for him and you notice it when he comes back.

Evra has been crap for 3 years so i'm not surprised they are concerned with him. Quite frankly the defence is very weak.... Vidic is out and looked poor when he was fit, Evra and Rafeal can't defend and Rio looks past it. Evans is by far their best defender these days so i'm confident we will get chances to score a few in this game, the only question i have is can we keep their attacks quiet. Fletcher has looked good since he returned though and Scholes is still quality and Carrick is a good player IMO so i think their midfield options is stronger than people think, i still think we have the edge their though. Looking forward to it and confident of a win. -
You think those puns are bad you should see the Mirror's take on it full of f*cking wine puns from to beginning to end

Anita was good tonight IMO at least from a pure passing and keeping the team ticking over stand point, more like what i expect from him. But Jonas is obviously above him in the pecking order atm. -

Take me now. -
Don't care if it's LB or LM he has to start at the weekend.

Maybe massive knee jerk, but maybe he's just better on the left ?

That bald c*nt Stewart Robson must run him close IMO but i do agree he's a bitter mackem c*nt who needs to GTFO.
