  1. Handanovic is better than Cesar now anyway, speaking of Inter they have bought extremely well this summer. If Juve struggle as a result of the Conte ban then i could see them winning the league.
  2. Some of the French media said we put an offer in for Remy and it was rejected and that was it, then Duncan Castle's came out the other day and said we are interested along with City and Spurs. But other than that, i have not seen anything concrete.
  3. Aye, to his wife about when he was to come home What did he write? Edit: Ah, probably that one Luke Edwards ‏@LukeEdwardsTele Hello pet, is Molly sleeping at ours? I'm gonna get a taxi about three I reckon xxxx
  4. So if last year was a year of Frenchies, we're now trying to load up with Dutch lads (assuming we get him and Douglas). Does it have something to do with them flopping in the most recent major tournament? Nothing to do with any of that. Theres about a 10% chance we will sign either Affelay or Douglas. The only common denominator for all our transfers are the age of the target and whether the price is "good value." I know. Would be interesting if the value slightly goes down for players of a country who had a recent stinker. An unlikely IF that made me think a bit. On the topic, his arrival should only secure the 4-3-3 and probably we won't see Ba and Cisse playing together. Not sure if the latter is good or bad though. Pretty obvious Pards prefer 4-4-2, any incomings will have to fit that system. Which is one of the reasons why there is no chance in hell of this happening. Fullback and/or striker, anything else is a mere pipe dream.
  5. More likely Ben Arfa going to Barca than Afellay coming here tbh.
  6. Nah because i don't think we will lose anyone and i think we still need a couple in.
  7. Wouldn't pay 5m for N'Zogbia far too lazy and inconsistent. Would rather trust Marveaux than spend money on N'Zogbia.
  8. They spend money that is without a doubt IMO the only thing is there seems to be stubbornness to go above what they consider the players value. Which i agree with tbh, but i do think there should be more flexibility. Not a lot but enough to get key targets over the line. As lets face it we have not been a million miles apart with our bids this summer, it's just been a 500k here and a million there.
  9. About Ruiz i like him as a player but if he came here, would Cisse have come? i very much doubt it.
  10. Tbf the majority of those players have proven that we made the right move in that going overboard for them. I don't want to question the policy as it's proved fruitful so far, but i do believe that sometimes there should be slightly more flexibility like with Debuchy. Lille are asking for a very fair fee IMO and we are just pissing about, i do think if we are to get what we want in the future and the valuations are quite close (i.e. around a million) then we might have to just pay it. We are not going to be able to to get a Cabaye for 4m every single window.
  11. Would be very happy with that scenario.
  12. Don't really consider paying around £6m for Debuchy "caving in" It's still a very affordable price and fair for both parties IMO. I'm not asking us to go completely mad but i think sometimes going forward we might have to pay what the selling club wants if the valuation isn't that far apart to get who we want. Still don't expect us to do that mind.
  13. Can't see a CB happening at all, if we sign anyone it will be a fullback and/or striker.
  14. Even if it were true, Benzema would never go there in a million years.
  15. Santon was not just affected by injuries he was affected by a weak mentality where he struggled without a decent coach behind him.... Santon needed someone like Pardew, to help with this as Mourinho was the only other coach who was able to help him with this. Ben Arfa we all know the story. All i'm saying is VdW is obviously a talented fullback who has stagnated the last couple of years for what ever reasons but the club has history in bring the best out of stagnated talents. If we can't get Debuchy then i'll be happy with this, if there's any truth to it that is.
  16. Van der Wiel is a very talented player always has been, he has stalled the last couple of years but there's definite talent there. There's a reason so many massive clubs have been linked with him over last few years. He has career has gone a lot like Santon and Ben Arfa, maybe we think we can get him back on the right track like we have with them. I would be happy with it personally.
  17. I think if Mbiwa's value was that low he would have been snapped up by now.
  18. Really don't think we will sell anyone, but having said that i don't think we will get anyone either. Hopefully i'm wrong on the latter.
  19. According to The Telegraph, Tottenham have made offers/enquiries for Hugo Lloris, Yann M'Vila, Moussa Dembele, Alan Dzagoev and Willian. They're apparently quite close to Lloris (down to the player, supposedly), have made an official bid for M'Vila, are negotiating for Willian and have interest in Dembele. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/tottenham-hotspur/9502278/Tottenham-Hotspur-launch-bids-or-inquiries-for-around-80m-after-Luka-Modrics-33m-exit-to-Real-Madrid.html
  20. I have always hated everything about Liverpool, but that's not surprising because my dad brought me up that way The sense of entitlement is key for me too, i hate that shit.... i don't give a shit who you are no one is entitled to anything. F*cking c*nts.
  21. Cabaye is just like Ben Arfa for me, give him more creative freedom and he will shine. Atm both of them have too many defensive responsibility's to really fulfill their true attacking potential for the team. I think it's great that Cabaye was number 1 in tackles made last season but it's not what he should be doing for the team IMO.
  22. Was just thinking that, i know i'm going to post the same thing twice in both threads
