Ba and Tiote will play, i'm certain of it. We would'nt have played Anita and Cisse for so long if they were doubts. Colo i don't know but i'm confident he will play too. -
9th at best for me, can't see them finishing above Liverpool or Everton.

Hardly the same as we had Guthrie in midfield and Best on the left and Shola upfront but yeah it was. I just think we don't just look a lot more fluid going forward but seem more comfortable defensively when we use that system more often than not. 4-4-2 is too flat and open so teams can get in behind our midfield and run at our defense a lot easier. The difference in defensive solidity between the two systems was there for show last week IMO we didn't just keep the ball better and create more in the 2nd half but we looked more comfortable at the back than we did in the first half were Spurs seem to be able to get at us a lot easier. We did yes, it was just a bad day all round lol. -

given everyone fit i think he'd go somethiung like that, infact more of a 4-5-1 when they have possession but i think the line up wil be determined by who's fit. If we go 433 we could get taken to the cleaners. Why? it's no more open than any other system..... Wigan game aside how many goals have we conceded using 4-3-3? Like 1? and that was Williamson and Krul having miscommunication and not a system fault. Don't understand this 4-3-3 is good for attack but defensively vulnerable, we look better defensively in 4-3-3 too for me as we control the game better. Wigan, my friend. I did say Wigan aside tbf, who till this day i consider a fluke. -

West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll

Rather Sturridge than Carroll tbh. -
Just been bombarded by tweets from mackems in last half hour because i said Fletcher and Johnson would'nt start for us Saying i'm jealous we can't have Johnson and Fletcher and i'm a " delusional geordie" Yeah i'm real jealous because we don't have Ba, Cisse and Ben Arfa oh wait..... Hopefully reality will hit home for some of them one day, but i doubt it.
-
With the schedule we have this season they'll need to be rested fairly often and with Shola likely to get injured (as he is now) that gives us nothing upfront. Or at least nothing reliable. A backup striker is vital imo. Just an assumption but i had a feeling going into this season we would rest Ba or Cisse in some Europa Games. Both would play at the weekend as long as we play Thursday-Sunday but i could see one play and one not in Europe. I agree it's vital, but defence concerns me more. Also i'd play Perch above Simpson as well.
-
Suppose but Bendtner did quite well considering for them last season and i don't see Fletcher contributing many more goals if at all. Where exactly? 4-4-2 Jonas would get ahead every time because of he's defensive ability and in 4-3-3 I would pick Ba everytime. If we didn't have Ben Arfa then sure but seeing as we do then i don't see a place for him.
-
Defence is where i'm most concerned really, midfield is very strong and upfront i'm only going to get concerned if Senegal beat Ivory Coast ( which i can't see personally) as i highly doubt Ba and Cisse will both get injured at the same time. I don't want another season of our RB contributing nothing going forward and restricting the overall impact of us going forward. And Saylor's long term fitness worries me so i'd like a CB in. If we could get a RB and a CB before deadline, i'd be very happy and positive about replicating last seasons success.
-
The wankfest is ridiculous They have essentially spent 25m on two players who would be bench players at best for us BTW Bendtner is better than Fletcher for me.
-
Wasn't for Carroll not long ago but it does scare the s*** out of me what will happen if Cisse and Ba are injured at the same time/go to the ACN. Agreed but Simpson starting every game for another season is just
-
Extremely meh if that's the case, we need another striker sure but another season of being exploited outwide because of fullbacks has to be the priority for me.
-
This, Pardew was certain the deal was done so the news was leaked to the media. ( Debuchy) whats he said ? what did i miss ? Mark Douglas @MsiDouglas So #safc active today. My understanding now is #nufc will be too before deadline day. Busy week in prospect!
-
Dortmund's pressing is ridiculous as ever, Bremen struggling to string a pass or two together.
-
Not a bad shout tbf, didn't Twente sign him to replace De Jong btw?
-
aka Twente board member
-
Title winners tbh.
-
Apparently we are in talks with Twente over Douglas yes and Carroll i expect to go to the deadline one way or the other and Debuchy i think could still happen. But if i remain pessimistic then if anything happens i get extra excited
-
I'm personally not expecting anything now so anything we do get in the next week will be a positive for me. Still expect the last week to effect me like nothing else can though
-
Did you see how many chances Barca made? it had nothing to do with Chelsea stopping them it was due to Barca's poor finishing. In any case Chelsea have a good defence when they defend deep and let teams come unto them but fact of the matter is they are trying to attack teams now with their new players and their defenders struggle in an open and expansive game. Wigan created loads against them and Reading scored twice, there's nothing amazing about it.
-
It shuts on the 3rd in France, but the 31st over here.
-
Mancini saying Liverpool are title challengers just before City play them..... Blatantly he's trying to pile pressure on them and take the pressure of his players, he does this all the time.
-
The minimum i expect is 7th but i think we are capable of more and i also think if we buy no one else then it's definitely an opportunity missed. It would be Bowyer all over again, only this time the club as a whole is better run to deal with it.
