I don't think he has the attributes of a wide player. Most of our wide players seem to be "wide AM's" Ben Arfa and Marveaux are the same which is probably why Pards wants a attacking RB to help with width. As long as he's not static and allowed to move around i don't see an issue there. He played wide at Hartlepool didn't he? Swapping flanks a lot during the game and putting in a MOTM performance? Apparently yeah, that is what i'm on about our wide players are more likely to be moving across the front, coming inside and swapping wings than going down the by-line and whipping crosses in. I imagine that's what we want our fullbacks to do.

Better than..... ? Anyone we have, Cabaye is fantastic but i wouldn't say possession keeping is one of his best traits as far as keeping the ball goes Anita would probably be better than any CM we have currently.

Anita is worth the money to me because of a few reasons.... 1. It allows to play 2 proper DM's and free up the rest of the team 2. He's better at keeping possession ( something we have struggled with) and better at doing the old drop back as a CB when Colo runs forward role than anyone we have 3. He can play in both fullback roles 4. Tiote goes to AFCON we have genuine DM to play alongside Cabaye I can definitely see why we want him, just hoping he's joined by a fullback and a striker by the end of the window. ( assuming he signs of course)

Debuchy is definitely what i'd want and i'm sure i'm not alone there, but if it can't happen for what ever reason i would be pleased with Van der Wiel instead.

£90 Heskey getting less than a teenage kid working at Mcdonalds

Wasn't there a quote from Cisse when he joined that he was suppose to be joining Bayern and his agent said your going to England and if all goes well you will sign for Newcastle? Or did i imagine that

What has that got to do with anything? yes he probably would and so would i, but we have different needs to Liverpool. Liverpool already have plenty of midfielders in the Allen mould we don't quite frankly, Liverpool don't have many penetrative midfielders which is where thier focus should have been they have plenty of midfielders who are comfortable in possession who keep it simple and don't take risks but not many with guile who will open up defences. All the Allen transfer does is add to their list of midfielders who keep it simple and keep possession but don't open teams up, thier lack of guile and creativity is still apparent.
-
Exactly what they are, they have no penetration through out the team other than Suarez and he can't do it all by himself. Allen won't offer anything more than what the other midfielders already can, he's quite frankly a defensively superior, more refined version of Henderson hardly what they need tbh. As for Liverpool finishing above us and being better and all that shit etc etc there is a reason we finished 13 points above them last season bring them on, i'm extremely confident in finishing above them even if we buy no one.

Lukaku has joined West Brom on season-long loan.

Newcastle is globally associated with Black and White stripes, it would be a marketing nightmare to change that. Yep And yep.

If we could agree a fee with Chelsea for a permanent transfer then sure i could see Ashley going for it, but just a loan to send him back at the end of the season i can't see him going for. In any case i doubt we would be in for him anyway. Also i agree with your final sentence, it is something in theory he could go for if the terms were suitable.

There's one main reason it will never happen, we will never loan a player to nurture him for another club especially a rival one. Just like we didn't offer to take Carroll on loan from Liverpool? That was different, because there was going to be a future fee we would pay at the end of the loan to take him permanently. Different regime but just like... Giuseppe Rossi. Aye, but it would never happen now. It's just not an Ashley MO.
-
While we are in the PL and TV Money is climbing to insane levels stuff like that will never happen to us. I know Ashley changed the name of the stadium, but i really can't see an outcome as long we remain in the prem where even such a proposal is even considered.

Good signings tbh, especially considering when if they want to play Nolan he will need a lot protection behind him. I still think they will struggle though.

I'm confident we will get him and Anita before the deadline but anything else i'm unsure about.

Borini is all about movement and finishing, works hard with decent technique and pace. Good player tbh and will provide a better outlet for Suarez to link up with, the issue Liverpool has is that they will probably play 4-3-3 and the other wide player in the front 3 will be Downing Along with the obvious lack of attacking threat from midfield that has already been mentioned.
-
I was thinking this. He's a tidy player for sure (Allen), but Christ - that's an obscene amount of money. Gerrard, Lucas, Allen, Henderson, Adam, Spearing; that's just mega uninspiring tbh and is seriously lacking in goals. Still absolutely millions of miles away from replacing Xabi Alonso. That's the exact point i was making more before hand, they have tonnes of midfielders that can recycle possession which is good for Rodgers gameplan i suppose but nothing in an actual creative sense. They will rely a lot on Suarez to create by himself again. Would have made much more sense, to buy a more creative attacking midfielder than Allen.

Essien relied a lot on his physical attributes though, Lucas relies on positional sense.
