    His NUFCtv interview:
  2. This morning's Douglas article in the Journal stinks of this. Aye. Always a bit odd when virtually every paper has the same transfer story, with presumably the same source.

  4. Mistake aside, he was OK. And this is the same player, remember, who was arguably our best player - admittedly it wasn't very difficult - earlier in the season. I just hope, given that he's previously had confidence issues, the fans, players and management give him the support he needs to get over this, because I don't doubt that he has all the necessary attributes to be a very good fullback.

  6. Eh, why are people suddenly shitting themselves? Cos we're s***? At least playing s*** anyway. Not at home we're not and Fulham are not as good away either.... plus its f*cking QPR We were pretty shit against Stoke, like.

Some of us did, because we knew that if it didnt change, this was coming. This, really. Even look at what were probably our two best home performances of last season - Man Utd, Stoke. Two drastically different and ultimately unsustainable performances. Yes, you have to have a degree of tactical flexibility, but without anything that vaguely resembles a coherent footballing identity you will not have sustained success.
  8. He's only started 8 games in the Premier Legaue, in fairness. And he still has double the assists of anyone else on our team.
  9. I think that's a lazy criticism of a very good player.
  10. You completely negate his main attributes if you use him like we have today.
  11. He should be our number 10.
  12. Think I'd prefer him as our number 10.
  13. And do what with Sissoko though? He's probably our best player out there. Not sure. But there's not really the space for him to exploit with his running power centrally - they seem fairly happy to counter if/when we develop any sustained pressure.
  14. I'm not sure Anita knows what he's meant to be doing, to be fair.
  15. I do think it becomes quite hard for us to develop any sustained pressure on the opponent high up the pitch when he plays as number 10. That's not really a bad thing if we set up to counter, but I don't think it's ideal at home to someone like Stoke.

Because a midfielder playing upfront doesn't make him a false 9?
  17. This isn't something that frequently happens, though. Laudrup, as demonstrated by your post, has always been a popular choice to succeed Pardew should he be sacked. It was only logical that some people, after playing his team, might reaffirm their desire for him to be our manager.
  18. I really like Kevin Volland. Hoffenheim are currently in the relegation places, too.
