Which ironically could save us if they put Wigan away in the last game. Good point - that's the positive thinking we need!
-
This would be such an enjoyable relegation battle if we weren't up to our fucking necks in it.
-
As are Norwich - Villa will beat them on this form and they go to Man City on the last day.
-
I still think we'll pick something up in the away games - we got a draw at West Brom only a week ago and they're miles better than West Ham or QPR.
-
A draw would be just about acceptable - that would mean we could afford for Villa to draw at Norwich, lose to Chelsea then still be behind us come final day.
-
Aye, that bastard still rankles. If the shit ref had sent that prick off as well we might even have won the game.
-
I would like to think they're having a team meeting today where nothing is off the table - get them to tell him exactly why they're so p*ssed off. Ask the senior players what team/formation they would select and agree to give it a try. Anything really, just whatever it is he's been doing lately, f***ing stop it! If the players want us to stop up, they really have to be telling pardew what is wrong from their eyes as they are the best one's to know what is wrong. Good luck getting this cocky b****** to listen. I hope you're right though. The hope is that a 6-0 battering at home with the fans behind you hurling abuse might just have knocked some of the edge off his ego - he definitely looked rattled. We can but hope...

Think he'll play Tiote for sure - he's the only midfielder we have who can try and counter the power of Diame. Think Mbiwa at RB is possible too - extra height for those set pieces. Shola could well start for much the same reason. MYM - Taylor - Colo - Haidara Ben Arfa - Tiote - Cabaye - Gouffran Cisse - Shola Harsh on Sissoko but he can maybe come on when HBA gets tired, try him with fresh legs running at tiring defenders.
-
He appears to be balding rapidly - that alone can't be doing his confidence any good.
-
I agree with him going now but I would rather leave his replacement until the end of the season unless there are some quality managers sitting on their thumbs. Maybe Ketsbaia? He doesn't have a season to finish and I'd be more than happy with him as the full time replacement rather than a stop gap or panic appointment. Yeah I agree, I meant a temp replacement just to try keep us up then see where we are in the summer. Would also love Ketsbaia mind - think he would do a great job here, you certainly wouldn't see players coasting to defeat under him like they did yesterday.
-
If he's going it has to be today, and a replacement through the door first thing tomorrow. Keeping everything crossed...
-
Was really hoping to wake up to the news that he had gone. Has to happen today surely?
-
I just don't even want to watch this game. Only uncertainty we have is the anticipation of discovering what fresh horrors await us. How many will Carroll score? Will Nolan do his chicken dance? Can Fat Sam emulate the Di Canio knee slide? Fucksake.
-
I wouldn't be entirely surprised if frantic calls are currently being made to the agents of unemployed managers to see if one can be tempted to take over for the last 3 games with the promise of a chunky bonus to keep us up. Think they'll have been surprised by the sudden acceleration of our decline (it's fucking astonished me - never seen anything like it!) and will take the change option if they can find one. At this stage I would take Terry fucking Venables man.
-
I thought the same like. And Harper.
-
Pretty sure Wigan will beat Swansea at home. Think they can get a draw at West Brom and should lose at Arsenal. That would put them on 36 with a home game against Villa to come. If Villa beat either Norwich or Sunderland we're in a world of shit as both them and Wigan could potentially stay up with a last day draw. Assuming of course we get no more points, which looks more than likely.
-
This. After that interview I expect him to be here next season... Has to be literally no chance of that now?? We've just lost 2 home game by an aggregate of 9-0. If we do stay up it will be very much despite him, he will be ditched the day after the season ends, surely?
-
If we do go down this lad has to take his share of the blame - has let us down badly this season.
-
What the absolute fuck has happened to this lad?? From destroying Chelsea to barely able to control a football in 2 months. Mental.
-
We'll lose this. Probably 1-0.
-
Not good enough for this level.
-
We surely now know for sure there's no way he starts next season in charge. Only question is whether those in charge see any benefit to binning him with only 3 games left, Who do you realistically get in for the last few games? I think they've left it too late and now we just have to cross our fingers and hope 37 points is enough.
-
Got himself sent off out of sheer frustration. Disappointing in some ways but also perfectly understandable- predicted at half time we would have at least one player sent off.
-
Has somehow managed to lose the plot even worse than even Souness or JFK. 6 fucking nil man. At home. In a game where the players were supposed to show how sorry they were for the mackem shambles. If he has any self respect or professional pride he'll be resigning right now. But be won't, because he's a fucking coward.
