I think down the line there's a very small chance of getting past him. However, it's the players who cut inside from the flank that cause more problems for him i've found. I think Adam Johnson did that and scored from it iirc. Aye. Remember Enrique having a really dodgy game at Fulham against Duff too, with him cutting inside him on his left all the time.

Some of the suggestions in the media that we'll supplement the salary with a signing on fee make sense - give him 5 million signing and 50k a week and he's effectively on over 90k a week over a 5 year deal, and we're no worse on than if he goes for the 7m release clause and we have a sign an equivalent replacement for 12m + 50k a week. Only concern then is that knee of his....

Would have loved to have been there, best i was in was probably Shearers goal at OT v Sheffield Utd in the semi's. Their entire main stand was shaking, stewards were telling us afterwards it was the best they had ever seen/heard it. Remember both of those - actually being able to feel the top tier at OT moving was a mental sensation, but the San Siro was probably my number 1 as well - the seats had no backs on so there was nothing to stop everyone falling in one big heap, especially when Shearer netted right in front of us. In the interests of keeping this post on-topic, I can confirm I didn't see any mackems.
