Think that's 4 in a row Bruce has beaten them since he left. If Bruce is so much better than Poyet what the fuck does that say about Pardew??
  2. Boxing Day boost for Man Utd Man Utd v Newcastle (15:00 GMT) Manchester United have won 17 of the last 18, been victorious in the last 10 in a row and won the last 10 on Boxing Day at Old Trafford. Newcastle, meanwhile, have been away from home in nine of their last 11 Boxing Day Premier League matches and have lost six and won just one of those nine games.
  3. Because of course we're just little old Newcastle, can't possibly compete with the "big clubs" Twat.
  4. We play them early January in the cup - you were close!
  5. That's actually a decent piece, was worried for a moment they were being sincere! My favourite bit:
  6. 2 wingers and 2 big lads up front - the mackems tactics aren't tricky to discern....

    Jak Alnwick

    He's not the only one!
  8. 5 local lads in the starting lineup, must be the most in a derby for a good while?
  9. When the ref pulled out the red card I honestly thought Young was the one going off.
  10. Douglas fancies Abeid ahead of Tiote: http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-vs-sunderland-mark-douglas-8320472?
  11. Sammy scoring would be great too - we need another mackem slayer.
  12. Just looking at the team we had out for the 0-3 last year: Krul Debuchy Williamson S.Taylor Santon Anita Tiote Sissoko Ben Arfa Sh.Ameobi Sa.Ameobi And De Jong came on for Sammy at HT. Keeper aside I'm a lot happier with this season's lineup I reckon.
  13. Aye, he started as a striker when he was in the team at 16.
  14. You can bet on it, but the odds aren't great: http://www.statto.com/football/odds/england/premier-league/newcastle-united-v-sunderland/red-card
  15. Just checked for the last couple of games - Spurs scored 4 from 10 shots on target, while apparently Arsenal scored with all 4 of theirs: http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/30357669 Can't be right surely?? That would be 8 goals conceded from 14 shots on target which is, well, really bad.

The derby is worrying enough, but just imagine what could happen to this kid at Old Trafford on Boxing Day.

Al Habsi mentioned in the papers today.
  19. For a while he was ineffective, he's now moved on to being actively detrimental to the team - please, please drop the lad.

If we have Alnwick in goal their whole game plan will be based around in-swinging corners and Larsson shooting on sight. Worried.
