And why would Ashley tell Carver to pick a poor team? It's his money and let's say with a quarter final spot in the FA Cup and prize money he could pay a few weeks wages for players with that! They think progress in the cup negatively impacts on league placing,which is where the big money is. They've actually admitted this, read up on some of the past fan forum minutes.

I'm normally a Tiote fan but today was the worst I've seen him play for us by a decent margin - just didn't seem to have his head in the game at all.

Fucking hell, it's like playing with no-one in goal, I've never seen anything like it - genuinely think our Sunday league keeper is better.
