Wants to stay at Newcastle and open a restaurant it seems: http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/421818/Newcastle-Pappis-Cisse-150000-A-WEEK-Sven-Goran-Eriksson-China

Will score the winner against us for certain

Talkshite have picked up on the Schuster story - in talks today they reckon: http://talksport.com/football/exclusive-former-real-madrid-boss-schuster-set-newcastle-manager-talks-150122133359?

And yet AP took us from 5th to 16th and was never in danger apparently. Hughton won something like 1 in 13 as caretaker and got the job permanently the next season. Is it 'let's talk rubbish' day or something? Is it? Sorry, didn't realise Good job on getting it started though!

Increasingly looking like that's the way we're headed. I admire those who are trying to retain optimism that this time we'll actually do the right thing, but the historical evidence is all pointing in the other direction.
-
He certainly wouldn't be a regular, but I can see them using him in tricky away games, at places like Chelsea and Man City where they've been regularly overrun in the past.
-
If that's the case, why isn't he confirmed already? They have to make it look like they've at least tried to find an alternative. Next few days he'll be announced to the end of the season, and as long as he isn't a total disaster I really wouldn't be surprised to see him appointed permanently in the summer.

Carver is now favourite again, based no doubt on Charnley's latest comments: http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/newcastle/next-permanent-manager They'll be desperate for him to win a few games so they can just give it to him full time.
-
35 will probably be enough to stay up so we need 2 wins and 2 draws from the last 16 games. Should be easy enough, but keep losing and the pressure will start to crank up and up...

A few stories today linking him with a 9 million move to Arsenal: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/arsenal/11359179/Arsenal-transfer-news-Gunners-weighing-up-9m-bid-for-Newcastles-Cheick-Tiote.html

It's noticeable that there's no mention of even the possibility of relegation - all very well waiting until the summer to get the right man but that becomes a hell of a lot trickier if you're not in the Premier League anymore.
-
I reckon he's probably still better than Riviere - would be getting regular game time if he was still here, which admittedly is much more of a reflection of the dire state of our squad than anything else.
-
Given our previous recruitment behaviour there's every chance he's been interviewed, given every indication the job is his and now will just never hear from us again.
-
No he doesn't. The ball is 40 yards from goal. It's as simple as that. Pelle is no threat there with his back to goal and the ball in the air. It only becomes dangerous once Coloccini neglects the back line that he should be marshalling, and attempts to win a ball he has no chance of winning, thus leaving us one short at the back. Seriously it's a schoolboy error to the nth degree. Exactly. Further errors were made but they all stemmed from Colo's misjudgement.
-
Hinting that it's someone already in a job. Clearly Guardiola.
-
Clearly at fault for both goals, and poor all round performance. As soon as I saw Long coming on I knew he would give Colo the runaround, didn't expect it to happen within the first 30 seconds though.

What was the publication, "Rapist's Weekly"??

It's horrible, but it's not Evans' fault and it shouldn't really come into the discussion about what happens to him. It was instigated and encouraged by his friends and family, are we saying he bears no responsibility for that at all? I don't know how much he's involved TBH, I'm not aware of what his friends and family have done. He hasn't conducted himself perfectly, but I still believe when someone has served their time they should be able to resume their lives. They publicly identified the victim for starters: http://www.theguardian.com/uk/2012/nov/05/ched-evans-rape-naming-woman Like I said, I would normally agree with you but the additional factors here have to be taken into account too I reckon.
