Unless we're talking to others? Doubt it tbh. The club are mulling over gambling with Carver for the sake of money or hire Garde. imo anyway.
-
Rather excited at the prospect of us getting him. Club need to get it done.
-
A vegetative dwarf.
-
Get Garde in. There could be a few clubs in for De Boer in the summer so our chances may be slim, that's if we even are serious about approaching him. If there's a chance of a competent manager now who wants to come then it'd be brainless to refuse it.
-
I think the club are dragging it out as long as poss hoping that Carver will win a game at some point, their eyes will on the home game vs Southampton. If he somehow gets a win there then imo for the sake of spending they will appoint him till the summer. The longer he doesn't win the more pressure they are under to appoint someone new. All the articles saying the club don't want to rush are rubbish sadly, it boils down to money again. They could appoint a decent coach tomorrow if they wanted to.
-
He's had 2 games and his team has been booed off twice, and it already looks like he's cracking up. Not the man to take NUFC forward and thats clear.
-
They'll appoint Carver and tell him if he keep us up the job is his permanently.
-
This. Be an utter disaster if we gamble with Carver till the summer.
-
getting a new manager in is a massive inconvenience to Ashley like, will cost him some money after all.
-
not even made a shortlist yet. class.
-
They'll hand Carver a permanent contract if this happens.

'We don't do loans'

Sky italia reckon we've made a formal approach for Niang. Joys.
-
tbf they're having a good season. not sure what's going on there though.
-
Must be a foreign coach this time imo.
-
Talented player who has been struggling a bit but will certainly improve with a good manager.
-
I would prefer a foreign coach like if we insist on this continental approach.
-
Honestly wouldn't trust Carver to keep us in the league. Hopefully Ashley thinks the same.
-
Pardew's reign had set the malaise so deep that the crowd were like zombie's. Given the length of his contract and how shit the football was I think lots had just given up, whereas others have been brainwashed into thinking small since relegation. Might sound odd but I was glad to hear a bit of booing after the last game. Despite what the rest of the country says our fans should always have high standards and expect the best. That mindset might come alive again now we finally have no Pardew.
-
Pretty good evidence that this set of players needs a completely fresh outlook in terms of coaching.
-
So? They were canny close to sacking Benitez a few months ago.
-
100% agree. Rafa would be perfect for us. Just my opinion but i think he'd be very keen if approached. Unfortunately your second point is correct too meaning it will be some bruce/adkins etc. Like previous poster i'm just gonna enjoy the next few days. I agree, I think he'd jump at the chance to manage us. If he thinks the Liverpool fans like him imagine if he won a trophy with us? I will enjoy the Pardew free environment as we all will, but how massively frustrating that we're probably gonna get some cheap chancer rather than someone like Benitez.
-
Obviously if we had a owner looking to take the club forward my number one pick would be Benitez, think he'd have Newcastle absolutely flying. Total fantasy talk with Ashley though.
-
Not really 100% sure on Mclaren but i'd take him as i'd have it down as a safeish appointment given Ashley's history.
