Him and Dyer had great potential, just never worked out for either of them due to differing circumstances. Jenas just couldn't handle any kind of pressure. Yeah, he was fragile mentally. That was the problem with him. Had bags of ability. They were both brilliant players, they didn't really give a shit though imo.

Yeh Bale played a huge part and was then sold, leaving AvB to attempt to settle in a ton of new players, some signed (apparently) against his will. He was doing more than ok but it was the wallopings they took off Liverpool and City which did the damage. If you're gonna give a manager that much to spend he needs a fair crack of the whip. He did some odd stuff aye, like freezing out Adebayor, but still rate him and he'd have been fine with Spurs imo.

Why did Sherwood do much better then? Villas Boas would have got them 6th if he'd been there all season quite easily imo. Got 5th the year before with a record number of points.

Not sure if you read their earlier post but they were critical of Pardew. They also (justifiably) ripped him to shreds towards the end of last season. Hardly like nufcfans on twitter whose defence of Pardew borders on comical.
