Astonishing 'Hello Newcastle... aye sorry we've sold him'
-
I just think Perch can pass the ball better and also defend better than Jonas, and he also retains possession better. But like you say, everyone's opinions are different. Our fans can be bellends but you only have to look back a few pages on here to see how much derision he brought after each match. If he stays next season he needs to be what Perch was, not starting every week and struggling to even do the basics.
-
His crap is still better than Perch's good. Disagree entirely.
-
Of course no one deserves abuse, it's not called for. Dont dispute his work rate or his effort, its commendable. Quite simply however that is his sole plus point as a footballer and Pardew is crazy enough to have him playing every week. When a player can barely pass a ball 10 yards it's worrying. Like I say nothing personal but i'd sell if it were up to me.
-
I dont hate him but come on, he's awful man. Last season he was consistently poor, game by game and imo he's been past his best for a long time. Pardew plays him week in week out and he offers nothing defensively or offensively, so it may be the managers fault.
-
Probably can't blame the club just that sense of Deja Vu from last summer is creeping back.
-
Exactly, he's toxic and he's the one with the job of trying to lure players here.
-
It's not about optimism, it's just criticising the things that have happened and I don't agree with (which I have done) from the rest. I'm not going to be raging about lack of signings on the 2nd July. IMO our recruitment is the one thing we've done pretty well at. JFK is a massive spanner in the works, but we just have to wait and see what impact he actually has. A balanced view but can you really envisage JFK having any impact other than negative?
-
It's not happening man, can't blame him for going to Dortmund but it's still hugely frustrating. I know some think different but imo we are shit at transfer windows. Yes the summer we got Cabaye, Ba etc turned out well but look at all them deals - all gave the slant of opportunism and bargains. The next summer we bring in only Anita and then we are forced to spend money in January otherwise we'll likely get relegated. Asides from Cisse we've not exactly spent serious money on a player. This awful platitude 'looking for the best deals' is what holds us back at times and with JFK here it will only worsen. What about what's best for the team?

Really? If Williamson goes we're a Stevie Taylor injury away from having only 2 established centre backs at the club. If Williamson goes someone will be brought in, i'm not convinced of many things but i'm convinced of that. Lets hope so.
-
Pardews bewildering tactics and players massively under performing nearly sent us down. But we clearly should have strengthened that summer. That's what you're meant to do when you're on top, attempt to stay there. Bringing players in gives the club a boost and keeps players already at the club on their toes. We need to push on after getting 5th. We didn't and the club have been playing catch up ever since, with almost fatal results.

He's far better when he is advanced imo. That's when we see the best of him.

Aye, thats buyable. Utterly baffling why the feel the need to add blue. -
He's been wanting out since we got 5th also i reckon.

I wouldn't use the word massively, but imo he is overrated. He can be a deadly player at times but when he's not in the game he really goes into his shell. As tidy as his passing usually is his long balls are often dreadful, swinging around all over the place in the air and never reaching supposed targets. And his delivery is just plain poor. He's a good player but he got elevated to silly levels after his first season with us (imo) Undoubtedly if he leaves he will look far better than he has here recently and will evolve as a player but I genuinely won't be that gutted to see him leave.
-
He's not spectacular but he's very useful - if we get a rake of injuries again this season players of Perch's ilk are ideal. I thought he was one of very few to come out of last season with any credit.

Leeds are a big club, but not as big as they think they are.
-
Been excellent this like. Don't think its time to write Spain off like, Brazil just putting on a major show tonight.
-
Lawro tonight man.

Lose the blue stripes, make the wonga logo black and get rid of that stupid white trim and it would look absolutely fine, similar to the McEwans lager home shirt we had many years ago. The pointless adding of blue everywhere just ruins it imo. -

Not a fan of that at first glance. Far to much blue on it. -
Lovely that sochaux top.
-
Nah that will be us done now, no way we are going higher than 15m. Even though i would personally if for nothing else he will replace Owen as record signing You'd think, i'm just not putting to much stock in that article just yet and hope we can negotiate an accepted bid for him. That's probably very wishful thinking granted. The mail went with the Gignac link and nothings been said since.

it'll drag and drag man.
