First victory, away to Newcastle, all class goals, when your team is desperate for a result. He'l make headlines anyway, regardless of his celebration. No will enjoy remembering him going mental at our ground, images you'd like to forget. Can't be one bit surprised he went on like that though.

Our lack of movement is surreal. Down the channels, coming to help a teammate out, their is absolutely nothing, just static.

I'll imagine he fancy being paid 10k a week. I know it's Ashley but their could be some middle ground found from both parties. More hope than anything this tbh. Personally can't see any middle ground due to his wages and budget demands as well as the confrontational approach he has. Do hope we manage to find a solution to Pardew in the near future though. Just want to enjoy watching the team play again. You are right of course, but he'd be my pick if I was given the choice. You're last point is key, it's becoming boring watching Newcastle United.

Thing is with Tiote I think he's fully aware of how s*** he's playing and is also aware of the criticism from the stands - and he's really struggling to react in a positive manner, could be said he's actually getting worse. Pressure really seems to have got to him. He seriously needs to get through 90 minutes just doing all the basics - basically what he did when he first came. He's trying to be this skilful defensive midfielder and it's clear he's nowhere near that level. The squandering of possession this season is becoming ludicrous in it's frequency tbh.

Seeing that picture there of Simpson - we had everything you need in a derby that game - fight, some belief and we got a deserved point. Yesterday I'v never seen Newcastle perform that badly in a derby in my lifetime. Even the 2-1 defeats we showed somat - that was diabolical.
-
It probably shouldn't but it boils my piss that.

I'v stuck up for him in the past but yesterday was the game for me - we had so many incentives going into that game and they completely bottled it. The disallowed goal probably would have changed it but we've had loads of luck this and last season so I guess it's gonna even itself out and in a game of that magnitude. My biggest fear all week leading up to this game was our manner in approaching it. I know you can't start every game hell for leather but if we had come out yesterday and stamped our authority on them they would have crumbled like all the sunderland teams of the past. Our start gave them hope of getting something and once they took the lead we were in real shit - we needed to score first. The home team in derbies have to set the tone. The manager is looking more clueless with each passing fixture - the players look devoid of confidence aswell as looking completely paggered, and the continued season long lack of urgency in games is really worrying. The team also lacks character - maybe harsh but it's abundantly clear. We mock the likes of Barton and Carroll but I would have had either of them on the pitch yesterday.

I'd have Benitez me if Pardew goes. Might sound foolish but I do think he would come.

I was amazed by the pre match confidence in honesty. We produced exactly what I suspected they would.
-
Was embarrassing that yesterday. Starting to sink in now and i'm absolutely fed up.
-
My main worry really.

Still reckon a draw personally. I'm never ever confident ahead of these. All depends on how we approach the game, not them. They will start like players possessed so we need to 100% match that - then hopefully the quality we have will make the difference. We're due a home performance.
-
I doubt i'll be able to eat tbh, nerves will just obliterate any hunger.
-
I just don't want to be to over confident, then again I never am ahead of derbies. Gotta remember aswell that this is new for a lot of our players - they'll have to settle into it quickly. The likes of Taylor, Gutierrez, Krul are vital ahead of these clashes. Experienced players who get what it means. I just think it'l be a tad more of a scrap with their new manager, if it had been that bag of nerves O'niell i'd have really fancied our chances.
-
It's gonna be a tougher game purely for Di Canio in charge - they'll be up for it regardless of their injuries. Anything can happen in a derby so we have to hope they'll match what they get given. Something wrong if we don't. Think it could be a draw personally.

This. It's Sunderland man, we're at home. They simply can't be beating us.
-
They'd be 2 points behind us man and we go to west brom after that, keep in mind how crap our away record is. We'd be nowhere near out of it.
-
Agreed. Still a long way to go and that's whats affecting my answer to the question.
-
If we lose on Thursday it could be a helluva while before we get this close to a trophy. If we lose on Sunday we're still going to be in a fairly strong position to stay up. Each to their own. I personally would feel 10x worse if we lose sunday than I would if we got knocked out Thursday. Can't be having fucking Sunderland getting anything man.
-
We are not man, still a shit load of points to play for and some tricky games. Don't tempt fate. Todays result was excellent but it's not job done.
-
Until we are mathematically safe the league is priority. Europa league progress is a bonus, as much as we all lust for silverware.
-
Mackems game is more important. A shame but its true.
-
Should start games like we finished that one. The difference would be huge without doubt.
