  2. A Mars bar floating in the swimming pool of cynicism. Think I'll stick with Thomas's turd

IP's in crazy good form tonight
  4. Think it's pretty clear he was employed "not" to do anything (other than run his mouth off)

this is it in a nutshell, I think even if you come away with a defeat, but it's clear everybody busted a gut for the cause, gave it everything they'd got, then you can still walk away satisfied (to a point) that all efforts were employed. It's being as weak as piss and entirely negative that drive everyone to distraction
  6. It all adds pressure. not really, main issue is still the same, no one wants to buy the club. Nobody wants to the buy club at the price Mike wants. I'm sure there would be a ton of interested parties if the price wasn't so outrageous. Basically when Mike want to buy someone, he wants to rape the selling club, if anybody wants to but NUFC he'll want to rape them as well, he's a serial metaphorical rapist
  7. Yeah that fair too, I guess you can't run an employee's life for them, but as SiLvOR points out, there is a noticeable bunch of players getting done for this type of offence. Plus given the high profile nature of the business it seem to me like a sensible precaution to make on behalf of the club. Still, given some the crazy decisions we make, this is pretty far down the pecking order
  8. Agreed, it's ridiculous like, surely it would be in any clubs interest to employ a sort of group PA to make sure everybody is sorted for basic shit like that (thus saving the club embarrassing/unsettling moments) Not to mention the ramifications of having no insurance Some clubs do have departments dedicated to this sort of stuff. I'm assuming we don't. Just seems like such a no brainer with this case being a prime example
  9. So Wife asks me earlier about Newcastle and what's happen with the club etc so I start into a long winded assessment of where we are, blah blah blah and she just stops me and says "can you just break this down into a simple analogy so I can get the drift of it?" Fair enough "OK, lets assume that football is space, so basically, NUFC was the Starship Enterprise, a pretty cool ship manned by some interesting characters, cruising the galaxy doing neat things, all individual and shit and then out of blue the Borg (Sports Direct) turn up with their "resistance is futile" bollocks and take us over. Basically we've been assimilated love, we're just a faceless, corporate void now bereft of any independent function, we're completely and utter "owned" by a entity that cares only for itself" Was just met by total silence like Women, they know shite all about anything
  10. MYM can defo match him for pace. Think Taylor would be more likely to get to a header tbh. When people in the media talk about our front line, they always go on about how much pace they have. I don't get it. Agbonlahor, yes, obviously, but Benteke and Weimann aren't particularly pacy. Anytime I've seen Weimann, I've thought he's looked pretty quick. Looks a canny player too, I like him.

    Well, that escalated quickly
  13. How the fuck did that come about? #random
  14. Basically we need a serious journalistic endeavour to start exposing the dodgy dealing in relation to NUFC, how MA has basically hollowed out the club for his own ends and subjugated us to Sport Direct United FC.
  15. By the end of the season this could well be the Interpolic EMO thread your head is going to be fucked with all of this, it's like a full time job

    Papiss Cissé

just read this page and what like "what the fuck is neesy on, reefatoon isn't even in this thread man" It's OK, worked it out towards the end like
  17. And that makes a central defender worse than useless. Mental that so many managers kept trying to get something from him that wasn't there. He wasn't worse than useless, though. He had far more good games than bad. His major problem was a bad dose of the brain farts in game. He could be playing very well at times and then BOOM he'd go and do something inexplicably stupid. You just couldn't rely on him to see out 90 mins, hassle free
  18. Remember reading that one of them is into football (and is quite good) and the other is into Tennis or Golf or something.
