As I've said before I'd be gutted if Demba left, really still feel this can work out for everyone. Disagree, there's more Tiote's about than there are Cabaye's. Disagree. Tiote's signing revolutionised us. Love them both, but Tiote was/is revolutionary to us. Welcome to the Toon Gael. Really pleased with this signing, a young promising player who's here to learn his trade in a young talented squad. Excellent stuff. Doubt we'll even see him in the first team in the PL but the Cups might be the place for him to show his stuff. It's a big step up in class but hopefully he's got the right stuff about him. We're a long way from the end of the window here, so it's still all to play for. It's clear we're "trying" to bring in a forward, RB & CB as first team replacements and are "trying" to add two or three first team squad/development squad players with the future in mind. If that happens, I'll be very satisfied.

I wouldn't freak out just yet, we're obviously working on deals. The Euros push everything later as well. Agreed, if we weren't linked with anybody I'd be concerned but as it is, we've had several offers knocked back for descent players. This is the stuff of transfer windows. Hopefully we'll get some of these signing done in the next week or two. Still think we're another window or two from having the squad blend we're looking for.

Have you actually seen him though, can't say I have other than what I've read online. I'm mostly excited about the prospect of him because he's young and could be molded into whatever we need, DM, AM etc. Really do hope we get him in now.

Hope we get this deal over the line. I think this is the kind of player we should also be adding to the squad. Young, raw but with potential, will hopefully be a good addition. A few years in and around the first team squad can do him no harm at all.
