Go live in Britain? Continue your life as before, except in a shittier economy? Would be a hard choice to make eh?

It baffles me why England is so desperate to hang onto northern ireland in the first place. I mean, obviously the answer has to be "money" but it still seems like more trouble than it's worth to me. Let them have a few extra hectares of potatoes and save yourself the riots, I'd say.

Hahahahaha yep, that's the s*** right there. Makes me think that he has a second career as an NFL punter once he's done in MLS, that is pinpoint accuracy. Hilarious how he punks Rafael Baca out with that chest bump too. Motherfucker grows a pirate mustache and shaves half his hair off and all of a sudden he's a hard man.

As a bonus, there was a moment in the LA/San Jose (my local club) game where a SJ player was rolling around on the ground pretending to be injured because we were up by one in the last five minutes, and Beckham chipped the ball in on him from about 20-30 yards away while play was stopped. He just took a little potshot at him, because he happened to have the ball when the ref stopped the game, and managed to drop the ball literally on top of the San Jose player as he rolled around on the ground. Unfortunately the ball ricocheted off the SJ player straight into the referee and Becks got sent off for it. It was f***ing classic though, the San Jose player jumped right up and charged Beckham, obviously forgetting that he was "injured"

Yeah he won the championship last season, and has been very solid as a cmf-playmaker type for the last few years. He is still just as good as he's always been on free kicks, but he has really impressed me with his work rate and durability. He's one of the players that is making tackles out of position in the last 20 minutes of games for LA, which is not what you expect to see from overpaid "star players" as they close in on 40 years old. I'd love to hate on him, mind you, because I have a load of excess hatred for man-united, but he's been a fucking good player out here and I'm kind of happy for him that he finally got his MLS trophy. Robbie Keane and Henri haven't been bad either, but they haven't adapted as well to the "we will foul the shit out of you because we know the ref won't call it" style of the MLS

I've been impressed as hell with Beckham's performance in MLS. Technical deficiencies aside, it's not an easy league to play in. Very similar to the premier league in physicality and pace, add to that the fact that every single MLS player loves to take a hack at Beckham and he has held up remarkably well, especially playing as a center-mid. For a past-his-prime 38 year old English wanker, the guy is pretty damn good.

Two welshmen come across a sheep with it's head stuck in the fence. One of the two goes down and starts fucking the sheep. He then looks to the other one and says "don't you want to join in?" The second welshman says "alright then" and then goes down and sticks his head in the fence.

Gaƫl Bigirimana rejoins Coventry on a permanent basis
Miercoles replied to Fenham Mag's topic in Football
Great attitude in that interview, and he didnt seem to miss a beat in the Villa game. I saw plenty of other guys fuck up but can't quite point the finger at Bigi for any particular mistake. Not to mention The Tackle which was key of course. Sky's the limit for this lad and we have to give some credit to the scouts yet again. -
Nah, that's Wales.

Man you should at least kick over a sign, steal a traffic cone or grope a foreign woman in there somewhere. You have a reputation to uphold you know.

I can identify with the tenuous connections of team-support... I got into newcastle cuz they were my team of choice in Pro Evo 3... Shearer was my secret weapon against all the cunts who played man-u and madrid. When it comes to the NFL I base my support purely on which cities I hate more than others, I don't have a favorite team but I have four or five that I fucking despise. I'm still trying to sort out an Australian Rules Football team to support, but I will tell you that that shit is one hell of a game. The violence of American Armored Wankball combined with the fluidity of Effeminate European Feet-to-Balls. Pure 200 proof distilled entertainment there.

Man this whole point system is a trip... So what do all you unfortunates do? Land in Brugges without tickets and just do some old Danish pirating?

433, ba on the left (he can handle it emotionally and he scored a cracker from there vs spurs) cisse in the middle (pardew's henchman with a radio-line and a cattle-prod on the touchline to get him to make some runs), Ben Arfa on the right and/or wherever the fuck he wants to go. Whoever feels like being a goddamn footballer and doesn't have a sore leg can play midfield. Job done. They should pay me Pardew's salary to wear spectacles and pound a ton of northern vag.
-
True story.

Cisse will heat up.

De Gea has potential but man he is a complete pussy. Would be a great keeper in Spain or some other pretend-league where you're not allowed to touch the goalie, but he's not cut out for the Premiership. They've been saying he'll toughen up for years now, but I don't buy it. Sczsceyznyznezny is decent but seems prone to howlers, kind of robert green-esque. And as for Reina, he is just not very good.
-
He's already better than De Gea, Szczesny and Reina. Although for me, it doesn't take much to be better than that lot. Especially De Gea and Reina.

They are on the relegation train right now if you ask me. Not this season or the next, but the moves they have been making are pointing them straight down. Can see them changing managers once a year for the next few years and then dropping out for a season, kind of like we did. Of course they can still turn it around, but it looks to me like their ownership is 100% retarded. Their Red Socks are suffering the same sort of implosion as Liverpool right now as well. Obviously completely different sports, but there are some interesting parallels, lack of stability at manager, clinging to aging talisman players, completely f***ing up in the transfer market... http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/15/sports/liverpool-and-red-sox-same-owner-parallel-debacles.html?pagewanted=all Decent article on the topic (though it spends a lot of time trying to explain what the hell soccer is). It's from April of this year and the situation for both teams, particularly the red socks, has gotten even worse since then. The red socks are 100% terrible this year (and I am loving it, feckin overhyped pricks) and engineered a collapse of biblical proportions to miss out on the playoffs last year.

6th... United City Chelsea Spurs Arsenal (barely, those cunts) Newcastle Liverpool in the bottom half.
-
I'm in for sure. I expected worse from the transfer window, and we got a pretty cushy Europa draw too. European fuckin football! Midweek games that are on at a decent hour in the Pacific timezone! Now if somebody would just lock Cisse and Ba in a rec center overnight and force them to become best friends....
-
I'd be curious to see a midfield diamond with our current squad... Something like Tiote Jonas Cabaye Ben Arfa Ba Cisse could be pretty slick, they are all good on the ball and we might be able to hold possession for more than five seconds. Could see HBA drifting left or right as his fancy takes him, Cabaye able to surge forward with Jonas doing the heavy lifting behind him.
-
2-1 win. We'll go ahead by two (HBA and cisse) but then give away a sloppy goal and struggle through a nervy last fifteen minutes.
-
At the end of the day I'm happy we didn't lose players. Obviously dissapointed, but I'm a pessimist so I expected us to lose Tiote and maybe Ba or Cabaye and bring in some bullshit player like Michael Owen to compensate, so at the end of the day I am angrily satisfied? Overwhelmingly indifferent? Ready for some fucking football?

Who the fuck would want to go to liverpool... Man if we could get Dempsey in... I would be a happy man. Pipe dreams though.
