Thank god we've got three goalkeepers in the squad again this week, that shit was making me nervous!

I never really saw the point in bringing him back in "late April", which iirc was the club's best case scenario not any real concrete expectation. In any case, why bring him back for the last four games of the season and rush all his rehab etc. Makes more sense to me to just focus on having him fit for pre season. I mean, I know we're shit without him, but that ship will have sailed anyway by "late April".

Quarterbacks aren't really running around jumping though, especially a pocket passer like Rivers. If he's making a cut during a game something has already gone horribly wrong.

What the fuck did I just watch? Concacaf gold cup women's semi final versus Canada, truly bizarre stuff. Some highlights: *Standing water on the pitch, so much so that a Canadian backpass travels about ten yards and stops dead, allowing the US to score *A penalty in stoppage time of the second half of extra time, conceded after VAR review determined that the US goalkeeper executed a double punch to the face of an attacking player, allowing Canada to equalize. *The Canadian player who scored the last minute penalty then has a horrible attempt saved in the shootout. *The US goalkeeper saves three penalties total, all hit to the exact same spot, waist high just to her right. Three truly terrible penalties. *US goalkeeper also takes a penalty, third in the rotation. Fair play to her, she put it just inside the post. All in all some of the weirdest shit I have seen in a while, and I only watched the last fifteen minutes...

Fun game, got to watch most of it this morning as the babies actually slept a little bit. Thought we looked nervous in the first fifteen or so, but really good the rest of the way. It's funny after our goal they always looked like scoring, just had that weird feel where you know one is going in. Great to see the response late in the game though, just relentless. Looking forward to the final, really hoping it's on YouTube as well.
