Barry and Lescott have been good players for them, Lescott in particular.

Allen Lucas Assaidi Gerrard Borini Suarez

Yeah, all the media was done yesterday as well as the medical.
-
Those pictures are from yesterday, aren't they? Meaning he could have trained today with the first team. I think this one could be a very key transfer in how we evolve our game and begin a more controlling philosophy (keeping the ball, working it, passing to feet).
-
Hopefully this is the permanent reinstatement of Carrick. Vital to have a player like him in the team, one whose natural game is to drop deep and pick up the ball.
-
I can't see Tiote leaving at all. Who is going to buy him? I can't think of any one. We only have two proven central midfielders (and Jonas). I think with the demands of Europe and the possibility of switching to a 4-2-3-1 it's an important area to strengthen.
-
I don't think he deviates well from that style tbh. It's been successful mostly, and it's usually tough to break down, but I think he's quite limited in terms of mixing things up. For example I could imagine him struggling to work round a team that came and parked the bus or tried to do what his teams do.
-
I don't think he knows a great deal about tactics. It's very simple counter attacking stuff- a 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1, staying tight and compact without the ball, using the pace of wingers as the main outlet (Young, Agbonlahor, McClean and Sess at Sunderland).

'The Moose' from Talksport says that it is West Ham who have agreed the fee for Remy. It's okay though, he's an extreme joke figure, especially among West Ham fans.
-
Miyaichi has joined Wigan on a season long loan.
-
The way it's worded in the Sunday Sun article ("Cheick Tiote is almost certainly out") makes me think they know a bit more than us and it's not tactical.
-
Worried about Cabaye. Such a key player with his ability to cover ground and get stuck in, I just hope the training ground "fitness work" can make up for the match practice he should have been having.
-
If you ask me we are signing this guy as a left back (thus switching Santon over to the right) and he's the alternative to Debuchy. We'll pay the bit extra due to his age and his versatility. That would be a shame if so because he is by the sounds of things much better as a midfielder.
-
Joe Allen is a £6m player max IMO, but he'll be a fair upgrade on Shelvey/Adam/Henderson. Rogers is playing a 4-2-3-1 this season by the looks of things with Lucas and Allen sitting and Gerrard pushed forward behind Suarez. Shelvey's a decent footballer but Allen is definitely more developed and suited to play next to Lucas, who is a very good tactical midfielder. Overpaying but he'll improve them.

It's going to be Anzhi. Awful away trip too in terms of distance and the fact it's an utter shit hole, just had a look on google images at the state of the city.
-
Hearts please. Don't like seeing Partizan on that list!
-
Alou Diarra to West Ham, £2m.
-
Started by Strawberry Corner on Twitter, but I think they're pretty open that it's a piss take.
-
It would be a huge shame if we don't take this opportunity, really. Simpson's a good defender but he has huge issues opening up his body, lack of confidence and general technique.
-
I realise there's a chance we may finally compromise over Debuchy but my gut feeling is that we're not going to get anyone in before the window, perhaps Carroll for cut price on deadline day. It's worrying because right back has been a weak area that has needed replacing for a year now, and we've had a great window of opportunity to do it. We've got a month left of transfer time, but I'm not particularly optimistic. Lille are (quite rightly) being as resilient and difficult to work with as possible and it doesn't bode well. They want Debuchy for another year and Mike/Dekka don't really like being dictated to.
