Arsenal's defensive shape is absolutely pathetic.

His goal vs WBA is so good, like. Brilliantly high octane, an absolutely lethal drive directly into the heart of the opposition. Why can't we have that powerful fluid front 3 again?

They're a good side with some excellent individuals and a good manager. 1-1 or 2-1 loss. -

West Ham aren't actually that bad with the ball on the deck but they look their most dangerous/effective when they do go long. -
West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll

Not sure if he's given fresh quotes to someone else, but I don't think he really said that in his pre-match presser. There was a comment from a journo about how Nolan was a good signing for West Ham and a good influence on the squad, Pardew commented on what a good effect Nolan had on younger players and basically how he was a top pro for him. Said it's a shame he couldn't have given him the big new contract Nolan wanted. I'd say he was just being polite really. I can't see Nolan fitting into the kind of team shape Pardew likes. -

Think Cisse will start this one and Shola will play against West Ham at the weekend. -
He definitely has this dirty side to his game and he has the history for it. It's a shame this side surfaced today

Great result all things considered. Cant believe we finished the game with Simpson at centre half and Ferguson in central midfield. -

I think it might be Cisse on the right and Ben Arfa on the left. -
MON teams are identical. If they need to force the game, it's always played into the flanks. Absolutely no variation, hopeless. It was the same in the Derby. Is there any reason he's dropped their only stand out performer who's not Steven Fletcher (Danny Rose) and replaced him at left back with a central midfielder?

Boro seem to be turning into a decent footballing team this season from what I've read. Taken them long enough to get moving after relegation.

I am glad we won and especially in such comedic style, but the performance before was tragic. We have no cohesion as a unit and there is next to no movement. Players seem to be instructed not to roam much or look for the ball in the fear of being dragged out of position. We seemed to have no plan at all in the second half and we really should have been looking at a defeat accompanying that performance. We need an improvement and some balance very soon, for the most part that was genuinely offensive viewing.

Got a feeling it could be one of those horrendous on the eye but professional 1-0 wins. Definitely not going to be pretty though like, anticipating a lot of long ball. -
4-3-3 or Ferguson.

It's quite odd and there must be more to it than his display at Goodison. I hope he has a future and a few chances to make a mark.
