Again, as I think Mole mentioned earlier, the "don't play Marveaux at left wing" people are ignoring the fact that, the way that we play, our outside forwards are not tasked with touchline-to-touchline, hugging the outside play. Neither Ben Arfa nor Marveaux are Aaron Lennon/Gareth Bale wingers in that sense. Marveaux, like Ben Arfa, likes to cut-in, drive to the box from a diagonal, and ends-up playing tucked behind Cisse. Which is perfectly fine, as our central midfielders often drift horizontally too. And Marveaux and Ben Arfa drifting inside allows Debuchy and Santon space to get forward on the outside. Between Marveaux, Obertan, Ferguson, Shola, etc., I'm playing Marveaux at left "wing" 10 times out of 10. Even if he's not a classic winger.

Honestly don't see Gouffran starting. He should, but I don't think he will.

I don't think we will finish in the top 10 this season, if all goes well we could be close to it but I thinker over the best we will do this season 11th-12th. Agreed. 11-12 would be best case scenario.

Anyway I would say in Jonas's case, yes he's useless, whats the point in having a winger who can't cross? and by that I don't mean produce a decent cross by that I mean doesn't ever cross, he waits for Santon to overlap him or cuts inside. Jonas has been a highly valuable part of this squad for the better part of his time here. He's falling apart at the seams now, but even last season he was quite integral to the team's success.

Absolutely this. The problem is not a 'wee' club such as Newcastle buying 5 players for 18mil. It's large clubs, like Arsenal, spending that much on a single player. And doing it several times a year. Wenger can go fuck himself.
