Dunno about that but we're certainly a soft touch compared to most PL teams. I was being a bit facetious. Soft, maybe. Exhausted, no way.
-
Maybe Pardew's right and this squad is just full of complete pussies.

Top half of the table!

He'll get as much credit as he deserves, he got to the Europa League quarter finals, it's not exactly a monumental achievement like. Exactly. We beat teams any competent PL team should've beaten (save Anzhi, I was surprised we topped them and doubt many English teams would).

Might be the first discussion of forum racism that didn't involve Mike. Progress guys, progress.

Do you know what his disability is? Broken heart.
-
I can't wait for him to go to prison.

Yup, looks like a good player. Possible National Team player in a few years? I think he's got it in him. Very similar to Chicharito in playing style. Big-time poacher. Yeah he's killed the Revolution like that, always in the right place at the right time. Stuff you can't teach. Decent scoring record for a 20 year old too. You are correct. He's very good at that. He's really quite awful on the ball though. Sounds like a perfect fit for the national team.

He's already done that. Through the play-offs, which is the absolute best we could hope for if he takes us down and keeps his job. Like Allardyce last season, his brand of football will never win a league. It's not even the brand that's the problem. A properly-executed 4-4-2/4-5-1 can still be successful in the PL. It's that Pardew absolutely sucks at implementing his own brand. Nor does he recognize that we don't have the personnel to play his brand. I don't even know what the term "brand" entails actually I think I meant his ideals and strategies etc. He just can't do winning football on a regular basis. I'm just assuming it's synonymous with playing style.

Were you complaining about it before kick off though? When I saw the lineup I would have preferred Haidara but I certainly wasn't griping about Jonas starting there too much as I could see the merit in it, hes been playing well there for a couple of games prior to this one, it also allowed a more attacking player such as Marveaux to be occupying the space Jonas would usually play and be ineffective in. Complained as soon as seen it. I hate the bloke and hate the fact that Pardew always finds a way to include him. He is the most limited footballer in the team, where Haidara appears capable of passing the ball, defending etc, Jonas gets ball, runs in straight line, falls over / loses ball. Rinse and repeat, he is an awful footballer who has no place at this level anymore That's not true though. He's woefully misused. I will continue to maintain that he has more composure on the ball and is a better defender than Tiote, and should be played in central midfield ahead of Tiote (though Anita should be ahead of both).

This is why I can't understand some posters wanting to give him another year. Does anyone actually believe he'll magically learn how to be an effective manager over the offseason? No, he'll come back next season with the same damn shit.
-
Under proper management, a midfield three of Cabaye-Sissoko-Anita could be devastating. With Cabaye playing further up the field to direct the attack, Sissoko roaming box-to-box across the center of the midfield, and Anita sitting deep to funnel the ball out from the backline. Unfortunately, Pardew has no clue how to utilize a 3-man midfield.

I hope you're right man. I have a lot of faith in this squad, think it's maybe 1 or 2 key additions away from being top 6 consistently. In addition to a legitimate manager, of course. And some key subtractions (<cough> Tiote <cough>).
-
She hasn't changed then.

As has been said, I would actually prefer Jonas in central midfield to Tiote at this point.
