  1. 2 Thats Debs number next season. #69 the spoiler got me
  2. Goddamit TT. You've well and truly fucked us.
  3. Lets hope it's Cabs then. Stop posting. I meant Cabs in a good way, so Ron doesn't leave us like I'm not going anywhere, even if I do draw a line under my support of the club. Ultimately these days we only have each other as NUFC fans. That's still something to be celebrated. http://t.qkme.me/35aznz.jpg
  4. Time for sepukku, mutha fucka. http://i.ytimg.com/vi/-5xKq2vPUew/0.jpg
  5. I don't think Fergie coaches the skill out of his players, in fact most under his tutelage improve a great deal technically - albeit that technical ability is put to an ultra-efficient, practical use. So he definitely counts effectiveness over flair. He likes to buy players who can dribble and beat a player, but then harnesses that innate talent into more common, less flashy, but more impacting game moments like making a yard of space in central midfield to find a pass, or buying time on the ball in and around the penalty area. Basically his approach is to make his signings the most professional player they can possibly be. I'd bet, for instance, that if Man Utd bought Bale we'd see far less of his marauding runs but on the flipside he'd be scoring 20+ league goals a season. Zaha's an interesting one as he looks better on the break with space in front of him. fergie will beef him up and tailor him up to playing in more defined parts of the pitch, not sure he has the technical ability for that but his potential physical attributes are scary. I think Nani is case-in-point of this. Obviously he has technical flair and great ability (yeah, I know some here would disagree), but he's been forced into a complementary role at ManU. And he's not a team-first kind of player.
  6. Quite more than these two tbf. He's had great successes but he's made out to be this master finder of talent when he really isn't and is lucky to be at a club that can fund the fees he pays for youngsters. Hold on a sec I dislike Fergie as much as the next man but I would say Man U are lucky to have him not the other way around no? You know what I mean; had he to operate in a shoestring he wouldn't have "unearthed" as much talent as he's credited for. The thing with Fergie and ManU is that he really did build them back-up into the powerhouse they are today. Unlike City or Chelsea, whose success and power has come solely through billionaire owners spending millions of dollars, ManU's success has been built by on-field success and incredibly shrewd marketing. Still hate them and despise SAF, but I respect what he's done for that club. I don't think there's anyway ManU is the global brand it is today without SAF. And he's obviously had to have success as a talent evaluator to keep them winning, especially in the early years.

  8. That's unfortunate. He'd be a useful player for us.
  9. He probably gained, what, a few inches? His small size is one of his greatest assets. Now, if he were 5'3" or something, would that have tremendously affected his ability? That really is almost too small to play the game, regardless of his incredible technical ability. I think his hormone treatments certainly had an impact on his footballing ability. Hard to say what kind of player he'd be without the treatments though.
  10. Does he speak French? Nay? f*** him. Taiwo? He`s spent 5-6 seasons at Marseille give or take a loan or 2 ...so his French is canny good I was attempting to be facetious.
  11. It's a rational move I'm not about to be hip and zany and make Clichy my captain on the off-chance he plays and City keeps a clean sheet. 45 points so far this week with Fellaini, Lambert, and O'Brien Part II to come. Only egregious error was keeping Marv on the bench, could've gotten me a few more points.
  12. Pardew's excuse for next season sorted.
  13. Does he speak French? Nay? Fuck him.
  14. Unfortunately, it seems this has led to them trying to get Moussa Sissoko instead. One of Sissoko-Capoue in for us would be nice. Though I think they're more likely to deal the former.

    Alan Pardew

womble would take too much pleasure in that
