In a perfect world we'd have two/three better centre halfs but the reality is we don't. Until we invest in an improvement he's the best option we have, he's certainly not a Rozenhal or Boumsong like you make out.
-
I've proven how your opinion massively changed after the San Lorenzo incident yet you're still adamant it has nothing to do with that. Less than your magical "2 year ago", you called him the best CB in the league man. Defend that.
-
October 2012 - "Best CB in the league"; "I hope we knock down an estate to build a statue of him" January 2013 - "Lost all my respect for him. Great footballer but not fit to wear the shirt or the armband"; "Great player but a poor leader." February 2013 - "He made stupid errors for both goals, it's as simple as that. Physically he's not what he was and we're suffering" March 2013 - "I don't think he gives a s*** anymore"; "He's not looked right for the vast majority of the season" I don't need to look any further through as all you've done in this thread since then is slate the bloke. You called him a GREAT player in January 2013 when the news of him wanting to go back to Argentina broke. The just two month later you stated that he hadn't looked right for the majority of the season, the same season you called him the best CB in the league. There is no doubt in my mind that your opinion on him as a footballer is swayed by what happened with San Lorenzo.

Whilst your talking about sense, the bit in bold is just total and utter nonsense. I don't think he's outstanding anymore but he is the best at the club and he shouldn't be blamed for every goal we concede. He'd be better with a more youthful, powerful, quick CB alongside him. I can't continue the conversation any further as it's just the same old regurgitated stuff.

Honestly, what is it that you are expecting from a CB in that situation against Aguero? Stevie Taylor superslide? He forced him to his weaker foot and a tight angle. Krul has no business directing that weak shot back to Aguero's foot. This is a good one, it's Krul's fault for saving a shot that occurred because Coloccini is slower than molasses. f***ing hopeless this. Show me one CB in the world who doesn't let Aguero have a shot from that one on one. Don't give him the time of day man. He has a thing against Colo because of what happened when he went back to Argentina. He only appears on this thread if he's either at fault, or partly at fault, for a goal. The rest of the time when he's playing well, Ronaldo is nowhere to be seen.
-
This is spot on. Krul was launching it upfield every time he got it. Although it was passed back to him far too often from Dummett whilst under no pressure.

''Colback played well but is still an utter c*** who I'll never give my 100% backing to''. Why?
-
I went on to watch the highlights and came across an interview with the Eastleigh manager. Search for 'Richard Hill post match interview vs Gateshead FC', he's quite possibly the biggest prick I've ever seen.

- Colback played well but is still an utter cunt who I'll never give my 100% backing to. - Riviere seriously needs to stop shitting himself when he gets into the final third, although it is obviously early days. - Cabella looks very promising and was the standout for me. - Anita was excellent in his role today but AP put and end to that. - HBA would have made a difference today and would have given us much more impetus in the final third. - Colo and Williamson were as bad as each other but it seems to be the cool thing to blame Colo at the minute. - Paul Dummett found his level at St Mirren. Absolutely useless and the shit cunt has a 6 year contract - Gouffran was a handy player when he first arrived and could actually be threatening but it now seems that he has been totally Pardewed and is going to be a player we all grow to hate. Sad really as he started off his NUFC career as a bit of a fan favourite. - We'll never do anything until AP is out of the club. Zero shots on target. Despite the few positives, we still couldn't manage a solitary shot on target.
-
All the new lads seem to have potential, but has any player improved under Pardew at NUFC? That's my biggest worry.
-
So glad I've stopped going. Days like this make it much easier to stay in the house and watch it, especially when hungover. Imagine actually paying hard earned cash to see Paul Dummett play football
-
Man City 2-0 £3 Man City 3-0 £3 Yaya Toure to score two goals or more £5
-
Should get one next to the Pardew one as well.

Last few pages are superb.

I went yesterday afternoon with a lad from work who lay down an Everton shirt. Was reading all the tributes but had to leave after a while as it was awful.
-
I thought he showed enough to suggest that if he played in a team that played attacking football, he'd be quite a valuable asset. He was extremely good on the ball and showed more technical ability in his little stints than anyone else in the squad (bar HBA). Shame it never worked out as he could have been a good player for us. Just looking back at our team 10, 11 years ago and he'd have shone in that era.
-
Gross is an utter waste of time.
-
Only 4 month until this lad is ruined.

I know everyone is currently focused on losing their money on the world cup but in the cricket India are a huge 7/4 to win the upcoming test series. Can't ignore that price, we're shit and they're very good.

Fair enough. Lallana though, what's your made up story about Carr overruling a deal for him? Do your own research if you think I'm making it up. A quick google search brings up one result from a forum member on toonforum.co.uk - I don't think I'll accept that as fact.

No he hasn't. Those are the players the club has gone for out of the ones you've recommended. You have no idea who Carr recommends or whether he is or isn't good at his job besides from judging its output. Stop pretending otherwise. I know Carr recommended we pay £7m for MYM when we needed a bigger, more dominant, more instantly PL suited CB. And overruled paying less than £3m for Adam Lallana. Carr's a failed lower league manager who is good at wheeling and dealing average French players through his connections there. He's a vital cog in a horrible transfer system. The sooner Ashley, Pardew, Charnley and him f*** off, the better. MYM was clearly signed as a Colo replacement when it looked like he would be leaving. Anyway Lallana, for less than 3mil, elaborate please.

Corrupt tae fuck.

Not touching this game, really finding it hard to call. Just going to take my £20 profit from Brazil wearing yellow. https://twitter.com/FIFAWorldCup/status/477158128438743040/photo/1
