Late, late flag there. Thought it was 2-0 Millwall.
-
Millwall ahead. It had to be Big Dunc.
-
Brighton are at home to Everton later today (not away).
-
Feels like I've been wanting Blackburn to win on Sky about 7 teams in recent weeks, but they never do, so no doubt they will get a result today the one time I don't want them to
-
He comes across quite well does Tony Mowbray, but aye, obviously hope Preston get something, or the other two results go against them. A Brad Potts dramatic equaliser in stoppage time to deny them would be nice.

Northampton promoted to League One, a year after missing out due to Elliot Anderson and Bristol Rovers scoring 7 to pip them to 3rd on the final day. Carlisle drew in the end, only 2 wins from 11, and end up 5th so will have the home leg second, and against Bradford. Mansfield miss out on the playoffs by one single goal. Saturday 13th 7.45pm - Salford vs Stockport Sunday 14th 12pm - Bradford vs Carlisle Thursday 18th 7.45pm - Stockport vs Salford Friday 19th 7.45pm - Carlisle vs Bradford

I've kind of just got it on in the background but I see Jay Turner-Cooke, on loan from us, came on at half time for Tranmere.
-
Into the second half in League Two final day. Northampton still on course for automatic promotion, but with Stockport winning against Hartlepool, an equaliser from Tranmere would see the former two swap places. Carlisle currently a goal down to Sutton who have lost 6 in a row and no win in 10, their GD should just about keep them safe from Mansfield, but they are currently giving up the advantage of having the second leg at home. Mansfield's best hopes is probably for them to score a couple more in their match, and Leyton Orient retake the lead against Bradford.

They probably will still finish above Liverpool, but those betting on the Man City-Arsenal-Man Utd-Liverpool direct placing as an emotional hedge bet instead of simply Newcastle to 'finish outside the top 4' will surely be sweating a bit now. If Liverpool do get to 71 points, as many expect, then Man Utd would have to win 3 matches to finish above them, and them also finishing on 71 and behind on goal difference isn't massively out of the question. If I was paying £20/30 or what not for a consolation should we miss out, then I'd be much more comfortable knowing that you would definitely at least win the bet if the worst happened. Imagine putting on like £50, Newcastle still miss out, and you don't even get your £800 to soften the blow .

I see we are generally down to 1/8 across the board now, still firm favourites, but obviously not as near nailed on as we were this time last week. Man Utd are generally 2/7, so more likely to be pipped if someone was, and they have struggled these past few weeks, have key players out, an FA Cup on their mind (which may come into play later), but I still think they are probably in a better position than us. Like us, they are strong at home, haven't been beaten there since the opening day and have 3 very winnable games at OT that should probably see them over the line. Our fixtures aren't crazy hard, but I see more chance of us slipping up at Leeds and at home to Brighton than they do in their 3 home games. It's still in our hands to get it wrapped up before the final day, but I do kind of think it will go down to the last day now. Without wanting to sound like a doom-monger, and it's genuinely more out of curiosity than pessimism, but apart from the 2.8 or so million, is there any difference in finishing 5th or 6th in terms of European schedule? Obviously both are Europa League this season the way the cups have worked out, but would 6th involve an extra tie?
-
Could do without any reds or more goals against here, thinking of that current goal difference advantage.
-
We've significantly come in at the bookies for some reason. Was generally circa 6/4 vs 13/8, but now it's nearer 5/4 vs 2/1.
-
Aye, that would be correct. That fulltime.thefa table doesn't have goals scored or conceded, but if Newcastle have scored significantly more, then they will need an extra goal.
-
Wow, Durham 8-0 up. Think they now just need 3, depending on goals scored, which you can't easily see.
-
I was just correcting your post, which wrongly made the situation sound better than it was. They'll obviously know far more than us, and he probably isn't ready, but if he did actually have a 'few starts' against some of the St Johnstone's, Ross County's etc. in his natural position he could have been a lot further forward than one solitary start against one of the best 2 sides in the league, in an unorthodox position.
-
They'll need at least 7 more. Newcastle had a +10 advantage heading into the final day.
-
One start. Against Rangers and in centre midfield.
-
Wow, 97th minute equaliser.
-
The term shit in their nest seems apparent here.
-
If Leicester away is easy for Liverpool, then Leicester at home should be easier for us, and because they haven't made a dent in the GD these past 3 home wins, one win from the other 4 games, or 3 draws, should pretty much seal it, if going by that logic.
-
I'd far rather it was just 1-0 than 2-0 with the keeper going up there
-
Definitely. Was very comfortable the first 25 mins or so for them.
-
Just hope it's not 3 or 4.
-
Haaland really must be Leeds through and through.
