This is really causing me serious damage SACK HIM, SACK HIM NOW!!
-
The first mistake....
-
What possible reason could we have for keeping him around? Every day longer he's here is a day less that Jones has to put his own ideas to the players. They better not be thinking about keeping him on even for one more game, it will take the shine off everything and is further putting the clubs Premier league safety at risk. I know supposedly a lot of the players like him but him going will surely be a boost to them too.

Too many morons in our fan base, we would embarrass ourselves too much.

Its tough this, I go backwards and forwards between just focusing on the football side and enjoy it to.... how can we be associated with a brand like this. I really don't want to be a Debbie downer, especially considering most of my friends and family are buzzing off their tits and embracing it, but I think its important to express it. I'm hoping it gets easier over time and I can think of us and the saudi regime as a separate thing which has no bearing on our own morals and practices. Its a weird situation that I've never really had to deal with before, even though I probably shouldn't I do feel like I'm carrying some guilt.

At least we can rest safe in the knowledge that whoever it is will be head and shoulders above the current shower.
-
2 year contract would be a sensible option, considering hes 71, I don't think many would be against it.
-
Rodgers would be a very good choice, but Leicester are already light years ahead of us, can't see him moving personally.

I'm glad you made this thread @UncleBingo rightly or wrongly I've been anxious about this all of yesterday, even dreamed about it last night and haven't had much sleep truth be told, but hearing some of the takes in here and hearing some different views on it has made me feel much better about the situation. I just want to enjoy the ride and see just how far we can go, while keeping a dialogue online and with mates/family about the saudis and what they're about. Really as fans, what more can anyone expect of us?
-
Hopefully today will be the day, Staveley doesn't seem like one to hang about on things like this but she also seems respectful enough to not leave Bruce hanging on, personally thing he will be gone by Monday.

I must admit I have felt the same way myself. I do like to console myself with the fact that whatever practices they do over there isn't going to change any of our own values or practices over here, I mean the club is now fronted by a woman, talking about creating a proper womans football team and surely that is progression if nothing else? Didn't the premier league also deem the saudi state and PIF as seperate entities? it is not the job of a football fan merely looking for hope to police the world or how a country is ran, if you want to blame anyone the anger should be at the broken system which allows any of this to take place. The saudi flag waving and true faith T-shirt thing is absolutely embarrassing though, there's being excited and supporting the club and then there's that.

We have a good enough squad with the incomings to push for top 10 IMO. But with Bruce we will probably finish about 12th and he and most of our fans will be absolutely delighted with it.

Is the original league code still correct? Neither seem to work for me.

Head says Poch heart says Rafa.

To say we've been jammy over the course of 30 games to do better than last seasons points total is something I would genuinely love to believe but it's just not true is it, yes we've rode our luck at times but we are still for now a fairly well drilled side who can grind out a win. Do not mistake these comments as softening against the club, I will never put in another penny until Ashley goes but what I'm trying to say is that Bruce probably does deserve some credit, but I really really don't want to give him it.
-
I get that there's no future under this guy and it will all implode eventually but in isolation we're probably on course for a better premier league finish than last season and we've got to the FA cup quarter final, talking strictly points and cup run into account he probably does deserve a bit of credit.
