  1. Enough of this winning a match shite have we signed any fucker yet?
  2. MOTM by a distance today, I questioned whether or not he would stay consistent in that deep "destroyer" role and so far he's been superb. Bloke is a credit to us atm.
  3. Can't wait till I'm walking up the steps to my seat tomorrow. It's back!
  4. On output of goals and assists Maxi is nowhere near as good as Zaha, I can't stand him but the bloke scored 14 goals last season, Maxi hasn't managed that in his entire time here.
  5. Think the timing of this is planned to give fans a boost and shift the focus away from the lack of transfer business. Happy for Eddie to get a new deal all in though, hes been superb from the moment he walked through the door.
  6. Loads also saying that we cant have two left footers playing but nobody seems to say this when countless clubs play with two right footers.
  7. Botman and Burn for me, Burn was outstanding last season for us and deserves to keep his place, not that Schar wasn't good too mind but Burn was incredibly consistent with big performances.
  8. Think we will get the 3 points here, everyone fit and ready and Wilson on the pitch, plus we are solid at home. 3-1.
  9. There's nothing deluded or overly expectant about bringing in a couple of solid attacking players to finish off a transfer window so we can kick on to where everyone was thinking was realistic this season which was top 10 with an outside chance of top 8. People seem to now be happy ticking over, yes I said it, rather than admitting that we should probably be doing a bit more to progress. I'm aware that this could be premature as we very well may do some excellent business in the next 3 weeks, I can't see it but you never know. But going into the season with what we have now, while not being a disaster would be very underwhelming IMO, just because we were once owned by Mike Ashley it doesn't mean we automatically have to slap on a smile and accept the potentially bad bits too.
  10. Wouldn't want anything to do with him or his agent personally but maybe that's just me being petty.
  11. I'm going to enjoy our first full Ashley free season regardless of who we sign and gets injured, but it's just going to be "we should have got the business done" every time we see Murphy spoon a shot over the bar or Wood make a cushioned header to the opposing keeper.
  12. Would you be happy with another 11-13th finish? I know I wouldn't, because I can't see us finishing much higher once the injuries start.
  13. I'd question why we are doing our business so late if the idea is to get a good deal, surely teams will want more money for their players late on as they'll know we are a bit more desperate plus they may even be more reluctant to sell as they will also then have to buy replacements.
  14. We cannot expect the form we had in the second half of last season to continue on forever, it just simply won't. Wilson will miss significant chunks of the season he's done it almost his whole career and won't suddenly stop now at the age of 30, Wood is a bottom level PL player/championship striker, Maxi is talented but mercurial and everything will be on his shoulders again once Almiron reverts to type, we have three RW's and not one of them is top 10 standard.
  15. Tbf it's mainly twitter conversations, but even some on this forum seem to think everything is perfectly fine and going to plan, and those voicing IMO legitimate concerns about how we are failing to have a good transfer window are bed wetters apparently. Very frustrated, I honestly expected better than what we've seen so far.
  16. We've got people tying themselves in knots to explain why not signing any attackers would be perfectly fine. Nobody expected crazy signings and a squad full of 50 mil players, but if we get to the end of this window having not signed any attackers (which is looking likely whether you admit it or not) then its a huge fuck up and is holding us back from building a bit of momentum with some quality players. IMO I think it's fairly obvious our business was going to be the three we've signed plus Ekitike, that was the plan and when that went tits up we didn't have a backup plan, and that coupled with the fact we don't want to pay the going rate for players means we are stuck in limbo. Our two most productive attacking players are very injury prone and I wouldn't be putting bets down on improving on our 11th placed finish last season if we have this squad by Sep 1st.
  17. Another one we've seemingly missed out on while we twiddle our thumbs.
  18. Unless those above chuck in silly lowball bids and get a nose bleed when the deal goes a £ past 40 million.
  19. This is even worse than when Paqueta was being mentioned every other post
