Can already tell hes shaping up to be an absolute gem, its still early days despite his good start but as has been said with some players you can just tell they are going to be good from the class and movement they show on and off the ball on the pitch, and this lad fits the bill, will only get better as he adapts too which is even more exciting to think about, he could honestly be the difference between a season of struggle and a season of relative comfort.

Shambles at times, no organisation, players not even aware of what their jobs were from set pieces etc.... still can't string more than 3 passes together and no creativity. I've been optimistic but after that, I think its going to be a season long relegation battle. Surprising the amount of basic mistakes from a Rafa team mind.

Our lack of creativity is striking. Can't see Ritchie being particularly effective in this league, and with us playing two defensive midfielders and Perez clearly not being a number 10 (despite playing well today) we will struggle to create chances. Also Gayle looks sloppy too. We should still be asking more questions of Hudds back line though.

Not at all, I just think it's strange that out higher profile signings haven't worked out or to be frank, have been a load of shite. I'm gonna judge this guy by hiwbhe does for us. Thinking less of him off the bat because he's a cheap transfer is flawed logic when seeing how our more expensive ones have done. Think its more about his poor goal record and the fact he can't get a game for Stoke that is more the concern for most level headed fans. Depends how much store you put by Mark Hughes judgement. Fuck all really like so fair point, I wasn't aware on his minutes to goals ratio stat, looks a little bit more impressive when you put it like that. I'm not saying he wont be useful or even do well for us, I just don't think hes the signing we all wanted, and for me that has nothing to do with the money, though it would be nice to make a statement with a big money deal, but only if the player was worth it of course.

Monitoring and preparing I would expect.

If the idea is to build a base from which we can spend a lot more next season from the increased TV revenue than I'm on board with these kind of signings because they are probably good enough to get us mid table with Rafa as manager, but if these are the kind of permanent deals season upon season we are going for then I can never see us winning a cup or bridging the gap to the top 6/7/8.

Would rather West Ham just came in and take him now rather than playing it out until later in the season, because that's where I think he will end up. Anyone putting money into the club again must be mental.
