  1. Meant to say "as sharp" Played about 7 minutes at the world cup.
  2. Think the years of of injuries have finally caught up with him, hasn't looked sharp all season and looks like he's lost a yard of pace, not finished but looking on the way to being finished.
  3. He's offending my eyes, needs a spell on the sidelines, bang out of form and looks absolutely knackered.
  4. The lack of imagination is striking, there's absolutely no plan other than 1-2's with Trippier and Almiron, we must be the easiest team in the league to plan for defensively. Still haven't improved on corners and obviously haven't worked on last week's corner goal we conceded. The slide continues. One man team.
  5. Why are we all queuing when its a ballot? Surely you just go on any time between now and when it closes?
  6. I've got a feeling, based on absolutely nothing, that he's going to be superb for us.
  7. It's a lovely sentiment, and I'd expect everyone does and will carry on supporting, but the team needs to develop and grow, teams are cottoning on to how we play going forward and we need a couple of fresh faces to provide different options. As an example, my opinion is that Almirons hot streak is well and truly over and he's limited ability wise, that doesn't mean I won't be cheering his name in the gallowgate next Tuesday.
  8. We've been the more dangerous side and have largely dominated but our general play really seems to have taken a step back lately, can't seem to string two passes together and there just seems to be no consistent link between midfield and final third. Big half incoming, because if they nick one and take back a 1-0 to SJP I wouldn't be convinced we could break them down ATM even at home, doesn't really seem like any lessons have been learned from Saturday.
  9. Thought he looked very good and very sharp yesterday, but I don't think he will ever be as good as he thinks he is and as good as a lot of our fans think he is. He's a handy player to bring on from the bench, but his end product is wildly inconsistent and I'm not sure he has it in him to do the ugly work the likes of Willock, Joelinton and Almiron do on regular basis. He did track back yesterday mind, but is he going to run himself into the ground for the cause week in week out? Probably not. His injury record is enough that in the summer I'd look to cash in for as much money as possible and bring in a more suitable replacement.
  10. No excuses, absolute idiot move, wonder if he was bladdered or just a bit over, either way he's been an absolute tit but he's a young man and hopefully learns from it. Would imagine he will receive a fine and wouldnt be surprised if he's not in the squad for Sunday.
  11. Still not seen a thing from him to suggest he will ever be PL quality, I know he hasn't had much time but good players you usually see something to get excited about, looks slow and sloppy.
  12. The myth that he can hold up the ball needs firmly put to bed.
  13. Hasn't improved whatsoever under Howe apart from that he works harder to be just as shite. Must be moved on ASAP, Fraser is absolutely a better option man.
  14. I really hope this is it and he's finally returning! The less of Chris Wood the better, but he also looks absolute quality.
  15. He's developed into a decent premier League player, but that isn't enough for where our aspirations lie.
  16. Jesus H Christ Trippier had a shocker offensively, surely someone else can take over free kicks for the lad when he's having an off game? Of the 1 or 2 free kicks that didn't nestle safely in the keepers arms they hit the first man, player of the season for me but shocker of a game offensively.
  17. Keep expecting his purple patch to end and him to revert to type but it's just not happening. In theory he should be easy to defend against, one of our signature moves is the 1,2 with Bruno and it seems like it should be fairly obvious to well coached defence. But still it works.
  18. Thought although he put in his usual 100% and never shyed away from anything he was ineffective probably mainly because the way we play doesn't suit him. Despite the weird myth, his hold up play isn't very good and it always ends up coming straight back, his first touch is horrible and it can derail a decent incisive move. I think he's better in the air and wins a lot of duels but they aren't really accurate most of the time. As he's been said weve had far worse 2/3rd choice strikers and I don't think he's total shite but I'd like to see us have a different option from the summer and Wood moved on, just because we are doing tremendously well this season doesn't mean every player is automatically class.
  19. Even though Almiron and Fraser are nowhere near good enough to be first team regulars, I still think we are just as bad at attacking balls into the box most of the time, we never make near post runs and we never seem to be able to get get headers on target, particularly from corners where we might aswell just put it out of play and give them the goal kick to save time. We haven't looked terrible this season and we seem to be getting better at dominating possession but something isn't quite clicking going forward, at least two creative players needed in Jan for sure.
  20. No more relegation siege mentality to fall back on now, just a team of some good and some average/below average players trying to churn out results. Doubt we will be in any danger but doubt we will have a great season.
