Also let's maybe do our homework in Jan and not sign players that are nowhere near ready to play or are trusted to play in the first team. -

We are back sliding massively, Howe has a lot of credit in the bank but this feels like we've been figured out to me, last season it was disappointing draws and we've regressed and moved into very disappointing losses, we are very easy to play against away from home, the more worrying part is that we can't seem to keep possession for dear life, our midfield has been absolutely shambolic. -

We're probably tired..... -
He's played 45 minutes in a week I think the fatigue excuse is wearing thin. Needs to sort himself out.

Thank god Trippier is suspended, Howe would have had him playing the full 90 next Saturday, only way he was going to get a rest. -

One of the big mistakes in the summer was not signing a more talented starting RW -

What planet are these fuckers on man -
He was excellent for the most part, but also with obvious limitations particularly on moving the ball forward and attacking, do you not see left back as a key area to improve going into a champions league campaign?
-
Hope this fucker is worth the hassle if we do sign him
-
The window isn't over yet so things can change, but we are one CB injury away from Lascelles playing against the likes of Real Madrid in the champions league, in fact is Schar even declared fit after that knock the other week? I dont think its out there to suggest we need to do a bit more.

Karl Darlow (now playing for Leeds United)

Downie saying the fee isn't even in the millions, we really are pushovers when it comes to outgoings, should at least be getting a few mil for him surely. -
If you count the seasons before last where Vardy couldn't finish his dinner, Barnes assist stats are also good, you would imagine he will assist a hell of a lot more with the likes of Wilson and Isak to aim for. Should be pulling in at least 35 mil for Maxi though, hopefully closer to 50 since it's the Saudis bidding.
-
If you were looking for a potential Schar replacement for the future, going off that he fits the bill perfectly, looks the perfect partner for Botman.
-
LB and CB should be absolute priorities, even if we just got those we would still be competitive next season, but without 1 or 2 more attacking players, particularly RW I think we will struggle to compete on all fronts. We should be looking to offload: Maxi 30-40 mil Lascelles 10-15 mil Darlow 5 mil Obviously the likes of Hendrick and Lewis should just be given away to clear the wage bill at this point.

Well this is certainly brightening up my Tuesday evening

Is there any actual tangible evidence that he's carrying an injury, just seem like an excuse to protect a fan favourite, not a chance Longstaff would get the same excuse peddled for him. He's been excellent for us and is a big reason why we're still in this league and pushing for top 4 but he's been poor for a while and Howe needs to find a way to get him back to his best. Not sure I buy the burnout excuse either, apart from the cup run, which he missed one of the games due to suspension he's had no extra games outside the premier league schedule, there's no excuse for fatigue or burnout IMO. I'd back him to get back to his best but he deserves the small bit of criticism that's coming his way currently.

Newcastle United vs. Arsenal: 07/05/23 @ 4.30pm (Sky Sports)

I think Liverpool will slip up and get a draw somewhere at least, and I think we've still got another spanking or two to dish out before the end of the season, so I reckon 1 win will end up being enough in reality, takes the pressure off us massively if we can sneak a win against Arsenal on sunday, personally I think best we can hope for is a draw, but who knows, we've defied the odds so many times this season! it would be such a shame to miss out on CL now, even though it would still be a tremendous season, on a side note its nice to see (hopefully) Pardews 65 point season over taken, the last of his legacy here.
