It's hardly a wild take to suggest we should be looking abroad more if the alternative is signing questionable premier league players, but by all means continue the pile on. I've seen the same thing said more than once on here, must be if the face fits.
-
Don't remember saying that, just think we should be trying to unearth gems rather than spending a sizable chunk of money on premier league players with questionable injury records and career stats, just seems like a bit of a panic buy and a bit lazy. As always happy to be proven wrong.

Ah right, we'll stick him in CM then.
-
Would rather see him on the pitch than both Willock or Longstaff so in that way I'm happy, but cant help but feel the £40 million could have been better spent elsewhere and also without giving a financial boost to our rivals. Whats happened to our scouting in Europe where are the Bruno's and the Tonali's?

Wissa has an impeccable injury record so you would hope he is able to play most of the games, but then again when you factor in Dr Death maybe not.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (playing for Leeds United)

Think it's a decent signing for a club in Leeds position, probably still better than anything Burnley or Sunderland have up top. -
He can get that ballsack fluff shaved off for a start.

I hope we've almost finished considering I'd like to see some monitoring asap!

Such a nice bloke though....who won't let the interviewer finish asking a single question without interrupting.

Aaron Ramsdale: return to Southampton confirmed
Tiotes Witch Doctor replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
Think he looked assured and composed, not that much he could do about both goals tbh. Whether he's a good signing for us remains to be seen. -
He's comfortable on the ball, can beat a man with ease and deliver a decent cross, looks like he's been playing the game way longer than he has, wouldn't mind us keeping him around the squad personally. Hope he's not another one that disappears into nowhere.

Benjamin Šeško (playing for Man United)

To be honest with our threadbare squad I think it's a given Man Utd finish above us tbh, unless we do some serious business very soon, this season could be extremely embarrassing. -

Time to leave this before we get embarrassed any further. I really want Isak gone at this point but we may have no other choice to force him to stay another season, we just can't get the deals done and there's no chance we will sign another big striker in time. Go for Wissa Keep Isak till next summer and concentrate on CB and CM. -

I really hope we've got our backup options ready to go when this lad inevitably agrees to join Man Utd. -
I get that it's unsavoury and god I hate that we would be selling to those pricks, but he doesn't want to be here and considering his conduct won't be giving his all for us, especially if he's forced to stay. It's not like we're a feeder club constantly selling our best players to the "elite" clubs like Brighton do, we need to maximise the money we can make on this deal as much as we can and make it work for us with an overall better team and squad. The club need to do the work behind the scenes and Eddie needs to keep delivering on the pitch to make sure this sort of thing never or very rarely ever happens again, and by that I mean delivering on transfers, maximising our revenue and making us a bigger and better brand, while Eddie does the business on the pitch and keeps us competing at a high level and eventually bridge that gap.

I think perhaps the original plan was to keep Isak and also bring in another top talent to play with or rotate with him (Ekitike) but now things have shifted and I think the writing is on the wall Isak goes in this window, as soon as we bring in that top talent. Wissa would be the rotating option now. I just can't see a world where Isak stays if we do that business, it's just not going to happen no matter how much we might want it to. If we do get Sesko and Wissa and £150 million for Isak and get a CB and CM/AM x2 I personally think overall we will be better off for it.
