Deserves it, he's really impressed me. Think he's gonna be an important player for us for years to come. Just think how much hes improved over a short period of time under a proper manager, could really be something special given a couple of seasons.

Might call up and just breathe heavily down the phone at him for 5 minutes.

Not surprised his contract is so high considering his CV and considering who hes working for. Worth every penny.

Striker more important than left back like, we have Gayle and Mitro as our only two actual strikers on the books, only two decent ones anyway, we definitely need one more. Whereas left back we have Dummett, Anita can play there Gamez can play there Mbabu can play there (when fit) same with Haidara if hes still alive. Even fucking Colback can fill in. Think LB is the lowest priority personally.

Maybe he will play Diame at no10, with Perez and Ritchie either side of Gayle/Mitro. Then he could have say Hayden and Shelvey deeper, in theory it could be a pretty decent way to play it, only thing is I don't think Perez is effective playing there he should be no10 and nothing else unless we're desperate. Nice to have another option though.

Didn't say he needed to be some kind of dominant physical presence flying into tackles and what not, just have the bottle to go for the ball if theres a chance he could get clattered or go up for a header now and then, to compete for the ball. HBA wasn't scared to do this, regularly got taken out by the opposition but still went for it time and again.

Hope we pull off a couple of absolute pearlers that we've been working on all summer.

Perez's 7 goals and 3 assists vs Mitrovic's 9 goals and 5 assists though. Bit harsh one gets praised like some kind of hero and the other regularly gets slated. Perez isn't a striker though, and has a lot more to his game than Mitrovic. I really like both of them, but it's quite obvious who the more talented footballer is IMO Think Perez has potential for sure and maybe isn't as rough around the edges as Mitro but they both have different qualities which is why we all thought they might form a decent partnership and may still do. Just don't think there's one or the other who stand out hugely enough for there to be such a gulf in how they are perceived.

Think he will be important for us this season but someone mentioned him bottling aerial challenges and that's one thing that irked me about him last season, seemed to back out of things when there was the potential to get knocked around a bit, needs to toughen up not just for the championship but for the premier league too, I think its one of the reasons his goal tallies aren't that impressive. Needs to push himself more to fulfill his potential.

Called it from day one that I didn't think he would make it for us, granted based on very little but you get a sense of a player even based off small amounts of appearances, I know hes only had a bit of time here and there but hasn't done one thing that's been impressive in a black and white shirt. Will end up at a league one team or a poor championship striker once we ship him out.
