That's a fair assessment. It's pretty much impossible to move forward in your career if you act as much the tit as he has. The stuff he puts on his Twitter is hardly encouraging either, comes across the thickest twat on the planet not to mention completely unrepentant about his actions, spouting all sorts of fatuous tripe about 'haters', people judging him and quoting inane hip-hop lyrics when he should be buckling down and working hard. He's pretty much a lost cause IMO and we're right to be washing our hands of him, so many more young players more worthy of the chances he's had.

Got the potential to be a quality, quality player if he'd just practise his shooting a bit more as he's often been a real handful when he's come on. He's just a major cunt to be honest though and I'm sick to the back teeth of him. He can get to fuck as far as I'm concerned.
  3. One of the most frustrating players I have ever seen play for NUFC in that he's actually good, any fool can see he is good but he just has absolutely no guile, confidence or heart. He has all the ingredients to be a very dangerous player - pace, skill (even though he often doesn't show it) and not the kind who gets shrugged off the ball easily. Like people have said he shies away from the action, doesn't look to get involved enough, doesn't take enough chances. I'm sure I don't speak only for myself when I say I actually wouldn't mind him giving away possession a bit more if he just went for it. Perhaps I'm looking at things way too simply but there's so many times he's got a clear space in front of him and I'm screaming at him to just smash it past the defender and run after it and he never does.
  4. Would like him to stay but only as an able squad player, as has been pointed out so many times though he is simply not good enough to step up at the next level as a first-teamer. I respect what he has done for us, made all he could out of his limited talent and some great goal-line clearances saved us a lot of points. He's deluding himself though if he thinks he should be level on pay with our top players, and NUFC know that he will ultimately be one of the easiest to replace. See ya, and good luck at Reading or wherever you end up.

Plenty of them have had him sussed, he's just so entertaining even they have taken him to their bosom.
  7. Interesting, I seem to remember Carr said we weren't targeting South America for signings but I suppose maybe he only meant the senior players.

    NUFC Kits

My sentiments exactly, it would be ideal. Almost every football fan I know likes their kits nice and simple, the designers are so woefully out of touch man.

    NUFC Kits

Might be but here's another Puma effort this time for Odense BK http://www.footballshirtculture.com/images/Odense-2012-125th-anniversary-puma-home-football-shirt-b(1). Don't like the sponsor block but at least the stripes look normal, fuck's sake.

  13. Disagree with the bolded bit. Don't think Redknapp could have taken them any further. Combine that with the fact that he's a massive cunt who was constantly sullying the club's reputation with his shady personal dealings, making a total arse of himself in front of the media and Spuds' awful run of form since Christmas I think sacking him was completely the right decision. Whether the appointment of Villas-Boas is or not though is quite another matter, will be interesting to see how it pans out.
  14. They don't have relevance per se but nowt wrong with me saying I'd rather lose Ba than those other players, it's true. For the record I did point out that I'd love us to keep Demba too. I think he'll stay, especially since LeonBestIsMint has gone.
  15. If he stays, awesome. If he goes it's a blow but ultimately I'd rather lose him before Krul, Colo, Santon, Tiote, Cabaye, Ben Arfa or Cisse. Nice to see him laughing off the rumours. A Liverpool link is pretty predictable stuff.

I'm sick of all of it ffs. Wish I could just get in a time machine and transport to the start of the season, then have a look down the squad list and see what happened.

They can't understand that a 20 year old kid coming from a vastly different league and culture can't really be expected to hit the ground running, especially when one also considers the persistent knee injury plaguing him at the time. I'm presuming they lack the basic knowledge or memory to recall him having C.Ronaldo in his pocket in a Champions League match when he was 18 years old and the things Ronaldo said about him afterwards. He was making headway with the Italian squad, massive plaudits from Mourinho and Lippi until it started to go wrong under Benitez, whose judgement on a player's quality I wouldn't trust as far as I could throw. They seem to think he's just some kid sleeping rough who we dragged in off the street and gave a kit to. All things considered Santon has taken to the league very, very well and barring possible injury troubles it's going to be a massive year for him. It's been a learning curve for the lad but he has learned fast - he's quick, got great control, unbelievable attacking-wise and is nowhere near as bad defensively as a lot of people make him out to be. Where this popular idea on their board that he's total shite comes from I have absolutely no idea. Was he subbed off at half time in the derby? Aye that was probably it actually, because every player is judged on the strength of one game against fucking Sunderland
