The only loyal people in sports are the fans, and naturally we get fucked with the most of anyone.. I just hope Colo stays, he would have been the last person I would have expected to leave us at a time like this...
-
god RVP's got such a punchable face.. it's a shame cause I was wondering what Ferguson's post-match distraction would be. they've been pretty shit.
-
up to a 6 now, still think there are enough crap teams in this league to keep us up.

Newcastle United 1 - 2 Everton - 02/01/13 - post-match reaction from page 53

not saying that Everton didn't deserve to win, but that was honestly the most one-sided ref I've ever seen. That said the last 15-20 min from us were disgraceful, it was as if Everton were up by 3 goals or something for all the effort we put in. It looked like the last few mins of a blow out basketball game, when everybody is just going through the motions and waiting for the game to end. Aggravating. I don't even know who to properly blame cause nearly everybody looked at fault. -
its on ESPN website. thanks!

Fox Soccer doing a Being Liverpool marathon instead of the live Arsenal - Southampton game? what the fuck is that!
-
In a normal year I'd think we would be in deep trouble, but given all our problems there still seems to be even worse clubs out there at the moment thankfully.
-
wouldn't he still have to serve the suspension from that stuff with Cabaye last season?

how quiet is this stadium, even before we scored. -

'It's like a new signing having Nile back in the fold. I think all of us, fans included, need to say a big thank you to Mike for keeping hold of him and giving him another chance when everyone else had written him off. We should be grateful for that and in that sense it's been a great window for us even though we just didn't quite manage to get anyone over the line.' That will be it exactly, then Ranger will end up getting in trouble again on February 2nd.. -

can't wait for Ranger to look decent enough to justify us not getting a striker in January. -
Would be a good signing, the type of player we could use. No chance of it actually happening I wouldn't think.
-
can't wait till he scores, quickly becoming my favorite player at the club.
-
this. no chance though.

The blessing in disguise about college ball is that it kind of incubates American players. Yes, the quality of college soccer is pretty awful, but Cameron at 27 years old has experienced a lot less wear and tear than the average European or South American 27-year old player. Take Saylor for instance, 6 months younger but has 223 career appearances to Cameron's 152, even after all the time Saylor's missed from injuries. yup fair point, when you look at it that way. unfortunately it doesn't allow for a long career in Europe, but better a short one than none at all.
-
Wish we had been in for Cameron looking back on it. I never though he'd adapt this quickly to the premier league and despite being relatively new on the American scene he is already like 27 or something. Just shows that the MLS needs to get it's players going at a younger age (via academies instead of college) then maybe more would have a chance to move to Europe.

you'd think that signing an up and coming American to exploit the rising popularity of Football in America, would be of interest to Ashley
-
that Omar Gonzalez kinda looks like a latin Mike Williamson, scored a goal basically off a set piece. its a sign.
-
The most impressive thing about that Mexes goal was that it came off a floated set piece to a central defender.... imagine Williamson doing that..

Great to see Chandler back, maybe he will stick around this time.
