  1. We'll play on the counter all next season, end up in lower European spots, and this season will be repeated in 27/28.
  2. Great result and delighted with the three points but ultimately today proved to me more than ever that Howe isn’t the right man for this project long term. He’s amazing at getting the maximum out of limited footballers who run through a brick wall for him but can’t effectively use talented/technical players. If we want to be competing for the title by 2030, which the ownership has publicly stated, there is no chance Howe is the right man. That said, I think he will be given the summer and we see where we are by Christmas. Howay the lads.
  3. For his own career it’s best he left. He would be moulded into another bleep test merchant by Howe if he stayed.
  4. Wonder if something has gone on behind the scenes scenes
  5. Interesting that only Burnley and Wolves have lost more games than us this season and they are already down.
  6. Not sure it’s been that bizarre to be honest. The managers system has been found out, he’s refused to adapt and we are losing lots of games because of that. It makes logical sense really.
  7. Yes also against Spurs but that was due to an injury (dead leg). It’s rare Howe will ever make a tactical sub at half time. So when he does it really makes you sit up and take notice. Do I believe some players aren’t playing for Howe anymore? Yes. That’s pretty clear if you watch the games. Howe has even admitted this in his press conference after Bournemouth when he wouldn’t say all his players had the “fire”. Further, he gave a statement saying he wouldn’t play players who are no longer committed. He also talks about big changes in the summer coming. Howe is very calculated in his press conferences and he doesn’t just randomly make these statements. He’s telling you something as a fan. It’s not being overly dramatic, all the evidence is there if you want to see it but many don’t.
  8. Ok maybe you should source your facts with a bit more rigour as Tonali’s wife went into labour so he was subbed at half time so he could make the birth. Unless you’re referring to a different game?
  9. Which games were those? And then did he drop them next game?
  10. Hall was hooked at half time and then dropped the next game with only a few games remaining. You don’t tend to treat your best players like that unless something is going on behind the scene. Imagine if he did that to Gordon or Bruno. Tonali runs but he doesnt do much else. Personally think he’s not that arsed anymore. Barnes could just be form to be fair but he’s been shockingly bad for a while.
  11. For me it’s clear he’s losing the dressing room, Woltemade, Gordon, Livramento, Tonali, Hall look like they have been lost. Arguably Barnes who’s disappeared form wise too. Many other players know they are off in the summer. Problem is the remaining players fighting for him are the ones we should’ve moving on such as Murphy, Willock, Burn etc.
  12. Why is it difficult to swap a CB? They all know Howe’s system well by now.
  13. I work in construction and planning. I don’t think people know how long these type of projects take. Planning especially is suffering from major delays right now.
  14. Hopefully the rumours aren’t true that Hall has fell out with Howe. If we lose Livramento, Gordon, Hall and Tonali in the summer we are in big trouble under Howe.
  15. Bar far the most creative player in our team yet get zero look in. Howe needs to go.
  16. But then he had a fraction of the budget as Howe and he did get quarters of the FA Cup. Did Bruce have elite/world class strikers and midfielders? Look I am obviously not saying Bruce is a better manager. He’s not. Just the dross served up this season in the league equals the levels we seen under Bruce.
  17. I am talking about league performance. Yes Howe has done reasonably well in the cups and that’s nice. But league position is very much more important for the long term stability of the club and squad. We also got knocked out the cups as soon as we played good teams.
  18. When comparing seasons it’s fair to compare against previous managers performances, no? Bruce lost 16 games when he finished 13th. Howe has lost 16 with 4 games still remaining. Of course he could go on to win all four but that’s very optimistic considering the slide. If you remove bias from it and look from a stat perspective this league season is similar to what Bruce has produced. Thats plain and simple. Fans may not like it but the stats speak for themselves.
  19. Not sure why people keep talking about respect like it’s some godfather movie. Just call a spade a spade. He’s been shite in the PL this season and what has been served up in the league has been worse than Brucey when you consider the players and budget available to Howe compared to other teams in the league and 4 years to shape his squad. We’ve lost 16 games in the league, so far…
  20. Brucey’s lowest finish was 13th and Howe has x7 the spend and overlay and the richest owners backing him. Pretty incredible how poor Howe has been at managing this squad and tactically this season. Likely one of the biggest failures in Newcastle history considering the spend on this squad. Relegation would be unimaginable.
  21. The fact that Howe could spend over 500m on a squad and potentially see us relegated with his tactics is insane. Even Bruce and Pards never dropped to those lows.
  22. Harry Kane doesn’t get in this team under Howe as he’s not fast enough.
  23. So much sense that we conceded from that side and a set piece whilst having a significantly worse attack and failing to score
