Brain fart moment from Pardew.
-
3 more lads come on.

Is Tiote kidding me?
-
Why aren't our players up for this? We're making Sunderland look electric.
-
Yep, surprisingly good at shielding the ball and laying it off. Was a good role for him with his diminishing pace. It was a good example of Keegan as more than just a "go out and play your game, score more than the opposition" stereotype.

Centre mid, Colback will pass sideways most game.
-
I think they'll be more worried about our attack than we are of theirs. Altidore is toothless, thoug Fletcher is a threat. It's all about supply, nullify the wingers, our full backs should do a decent job at that.
-
With that centre back pairing, it's absolutely essential that we keep possession well and don't get caught in transition. Feeling confident, we just need to keep our cool and avoid getting dragged into a physical battle. Time to show some maturity as a team.

Let's not re-write history, Owen was a quality striker when we signed him. I was ecstatic when he signed, although it quickly turned sour and we saw what he was really like. At the time though, the prospect of Shearer and Owen up front was mouth watering. Owen was a great influence when he first joined, suddenly every other player looked a little better and he was scoring goals to win us points. By the end though, I was glad to see the back of him. Playing for England at the World Cup when he wasn't fit for us, the subsequent injury, the lackadaisical approach to being captain... He's a cunt of a bloke.

I wanted one when I was a kid but have gone off the idea the older I've got. I remember Stifler telling me getting my sons name on my arm was cliche, while he stood with a Toon badge on his upper arm.

Everytime I get near the end of this book, Howard Webb adds an extra 6 pages on.
-
Ha ha ha, you dummy The mistake was supporting him in the first place. Horrid appointment. Suck it, bitch.
-
I've been a staunch supporter of Moyes at Man United, but lose this and he's under immense pressure. 11 points behind the leaders with 9 games gone, it's unheard of there.
-
I'd be nervous playing Dummett at left back in this game, never mind centre half. As good as he may be in the future, right now he's incredibly inexperienced at this level, and throwing him in at centre back at the Stadium of Light would be risky. No fucking around here, if Taylor and Colo are fit to play a half each then that's the road we should go down.

People looking for an excuse to drink in such harsh economic times should in fact be commended.

Bought the book this afternoon, looking forward to reading it. Doesn't seem like there's much content, mind.

Leading the team on and off the pitch is a huge part of being a captain. It might not be a part of his contract but it's a part of wearing the armband. Flying to Argentina before a derby isn't showing leadership. I like Colo, I think he's been a great player for us despite him now being on the decline, but this just doesn't sit well with me.
-
We're not paying him minimum wage on a zero hour contract here, he's getting paid a fine wage to be captain of this football club. Disappointing once again from our club captain. He's out for a couple of months, plenty time to return home after the game. Though why our medical staff aren't seen as good enough compared to whatever the fuck he'll be upto in Argentina, I have no idea.
-
I think for Lee Clark, it's easier to drop a loan player than a player they have contracted to them permanently.
-
Taylor was doing very well for us before his daft sending off and subsequent injury. I don't have faith in him to stay fit for any length of time but he is dependable enough when called upon. No doubt in mind I'd much rather him in the team with Williamson than Dummett.

I played in the second one. The lads there were all sound. Think we lost 2-1 but it was a canny game. Pitch time was shorter than we expected due to a fuck up out of our control, which was a bit disappointing.
