  1. He'd step straight in for Arteta and Wilshere is still picking up little niggy injuries.
  2. It is probably the same practice we follow. Look after the pennies and all that.
  3. Arsenal offered a daft price and Cabaye had the qualification for the World Cup to think of. We apparently told them our valuation which was shy of £20m.
  4. Contracts are worth very little when a player wants away.
  5. Clubs will take into account that he wanted away last summer, that he had a poor season last year, and that he's performing out of his skin with a World Cup on the horizon. First bid we get over £15m and his agent and Cabaye will be agitating for a move. I don't think we have much bargaining power unless we finish top 4 and invest in the summer.
  6. Arsenal play the most attractive football so they will have my backing. I think City have enough about them to be the best of a disappointing bunch though.
  7. The transfer market has too much variance to have a standard. Otherwise you'd be looking at any striker who scores more than 10 goals in a season being worth £35m cos that's what Liverpool paid for Carroll. Man United paid that much due to the combination of a clause and desperation. Is Cabaye better than Fellaini? On this form, yes. We'll not necessarily get as much for Cabaye as Everton did for Fellaini though.
  8. Probably a fair price but I still wouldn't want him to be sold on this form. Last season was poor from him, now he's got a World Cup to play for he's in the form of his career.
  9. The 18 month contract is worth the same as any other managers contract in football: fuck all. They'll pay him off if they're sick of him.

Aye, was a blatant 'can't be arsed over Christmas' tackle.
  11. He probably has grounds to sue Tan and the club for his treatment. I'd hang in and get my pay-off, whether it was Newcastle United or not.

    David Beckham

For most of his career, Beckham was a top pro. He's made a lot of money from the game and on the side but he's always trained well and grafted his nuts off to get to where he is.

That's the outcome Knight would have wanted.
  14. I see Hoddle has been linked with a return to Spurs. What the fuck did this guy do in a past life?
  15. Aye, doesn't make sense. Levy has always backed the manager with funds. As for attracting players to the club, how many did they sign this summer? and how many were highly rated, like Lamela, Soldado, Eriksen...

To be fair, I don't see anything other than basics from Rodgers chart as well.
  17. Nah, his foot will heal and he will play again. He's back in full training. Just a bit sensationalist to say career over.
  18. Perhaps he is referring to the X Factor result.
  19. Cisse is a better finisher and Ben Arfa has looked poor upfront.

Hmm, that's an interesting one. Hadn't figured that could happen. Guess it could be seen as promoting it as he isn't making any comment on them to condemn them?

You will get the attention seekers too, people wanting more followers or just to have their name out there so others can tweet them, even if it's mostly abusive.

Yeah he is, I just think there'll be an element of wanting attention and followers on the side of the people he's retweeting. As long as plenty report them I guess it's worth it.
  23. I think England's defence is pretty set now. Perhaps an outside chance of a squad place but he'd have to rely on injuries to players like Lescott.

Makes for depressing reading. I do wonder how much they just want a retweet cos he does it quite often. They're fucking morons regardless.
