Heard a bit of him on Totalsport (at their POTY awards) earlier this week. Was very non-committal, but also sounded like a move closer to his family would be welcomed. So if West Ham come back in for him or say, Palace (if they stay up), I'm guessing he might prefer to go to one of them. Would be pretty funny if we signed him though. See how long before the 'Thanks for everything, good luck' messages on RTG turn on him. (sorry, couldn't think of any Bowling puns that hadn't been used)

Was there not something came out of the financial results that said SD would be starting to pay for the advertising? Not sure if that would affect the 'interest free' status of Ashleys loans though, which was always the excuse given for the amount of SD exposure in/around the ground.

Heard this on Total Sport just as I was getting home... fantastic news. We know Ashley has form, but we can only hope he's learned from previous disasters, and is prepared to let the club be run as a Football Club at last, with the best man we can hope for, at the helm. Lets look forward to the summer, and not nitpick over this comment, or that quote. If Rafa is happy to stay on with what he's been told/promised, that's good enough for me. Roll on next season!!!

Not many managers would walk out and meet the fans head on. Moyes needs to do this. Slightly off topic, but Terry Mac was on radio recently promoting his book, and talked about that incident. When KK was told that fans had gathered outside, he said... "I'll go out and talk to them then"... and the board members there and Terry Mac couldn't believe it - none of them wanted to!!

I was at the match on Sunday, and Brighton were s***. Couldn't beat us, and we were down to ten men after they were gifted a pen and a red card with 30 minutes to go. We were much the better team. I found myself thinking they look really badly equipped for next season, no matter how well they've done this. Oh and their players were doing the 'on knees, thumping floor' thing when Grealish scored. Have to say I agree with that, having seen the incident on the Ch5 show. Looked a very innocuous challenge, and the red that followed was just a joke. In fact, Villa had a better/clearer penalty shout just before that, that was waived away. So thanks Villa, and Jack Grealish for that equaliser.

Just reading the comments on the chronicle site, pretty much all of them totally against it. Then, the story link was posted on FB, and the comments under it are nearly all behind it. As I said last night... if they insist on flying a banner over, just make a p155take, and have a laugh. Adding anything to do with caner, the kids, or charity is just trying to make us bigger/better than the mackems, when in reality just the fact they are setting the banner/flyby up, puts them on the same level.

I asked the same thing, s hadn't seen anything. Had a quick look on Getty Sport Images, and there are photos of them looking gutted at the end of the match, but no presentation. Maybe its an optional thing, and you dont have to have one for runner up? Did see a photo on Twitter supposedly of their 'Champions' pitch podium dismantled and being put back on the lorry.

Did Brighton have a presentation for the runners up trophy, then? Haven't seen any pics of it, if it did happen.
