I actually really like the idea of it, its another competition to win, and stops meaningless friendlies. Its great for the smaller nations as well. Football isn't just for France, Spain, England, etc. Its great for the likes of Georgia, Gibraltar, Faroe Islands to have meaningful, winnable games

Why not bring it in for every single decision on the pitch? Football isn’t broken, there’s no need for this s***. Aye but they got the decision correct. That's the only thing that matters. I'm confused as to what people want? I want the ref and his assistants to make the decisions, but be better at it. Var is replacing the need to ensure refs are good at their jobs, nothing else. Refs will never get better, it's an impossible job

Surely Maguire is ahead of Stones

Rewatch us beating Everton 6-2 and reevaluate. Good watch that. Loved Nobby pointing at Dyer and Jenas for their assists when he scored rather than celebrating

Anybody see that Bale throw in from today? Probably the best throw in I've ever seen

Good lad

Duffy's also our main goal threat Must be annoying for Denmark that their central defence and midfield are so good but their attackers are completely shit, bar Poulsen who's ok

Barely watched a Brighton game last season I'd say but Shane Duffy seems to be a really fantastic defender now based on his last few Ireland performances

Don't like the clear and obvious thing anyway. Just get the right decision

Looks doable in her Twitter profile picture like. You got a thing for Hugh Jackman?

The offside rule is there for a different reason now? I don't think so. It's just policed far too rigorously, and that is solely because camera technology has improved and TV now controls the game in a way it didn't before. TV used to be there to show the game, not to referee it. I probably didn't phrase that well or expand on what I meant enough. I agree that the overall point of the rule is to stop goal hanging. However, I think that it has to be policed rigorously because defenders and coaches work so hard on their defensive line and it would be unfair to them if there was leeway given to attackers when they were offside. It seems very unfair when you get a decision like last nights but I just think that's the way it has to be I also think the full body having to be past the last man for offside to be called would lead to much deeper defensive lines which would be a step backwards IMO

It is the point of the rule now though

Sounds very American sports-like and shit

Just heard on the ramble that some English fans chose to queue in the non-EU security area of the airport in Portugal

His agent is Mino Raiola and Barca don't want to pay as much money

Southgate's done a fantastic job but you have to play your best team in a game like that IMO. Don't get the hype on Chilwell, his corners annoy me too. Just drilled straight to the edge of the box

Any attackers coming through?

Need to get Big Sam in and go back to hoofing it

This Neymar rape thing is really weird, obviously all the details aren't known yet but it seems like he's innocent. Firstly the texts which he released which show her wanting to go back to him again the day after she was allegedly raped and generally being very keen. There's now been a video released where she had a hidden camera in the hotel room which shows her assaulting him and him reacting really calmly to it, not hitting her back or anything, etc. She also stabbed her ex husband in 2014 and another domestic violence charge He could come out of this with his reputation enhanced if anything if it keeps going like this
