  1. There seems to be a few players who fall into that category eg Abeid, Bigi, MYM, where the belief seems to be that they'd become better players under a better manager. As I say, that seems to be based on hope rather than any evidence on the field. I'd gladly see Taylor replaced as well. However, I think after the Everton debacle, Pardew's faith in MYM was severely shaken, because the player wasn't just bad, he was completely hopeless. You can bank on Taylor producing some kind of performance, even if his style of defending isn't very imposing on the opposition. Its totally different with Bigi and Abeid. They have never got a chance to show what they're capable of at the club. And with MYM, if I recall correctly there was a patch of last season when Colo was unavailable that he played very well alongside Williamson but then the minute Colo came back, MYM was dropped again. And he was played at full back a lot which was ridiculous
  2. Not as much as it would hurt you to see Ireland qualify Just another foreign country to us. No different from any other. You can't say the same about us. Not another foreign country to Ronaldo, he fucking hates Ireland I'm fairly sure you're flattering yourself somewhat there I'm not and I'd say he would probably admit he hates Ireland or at least has a dislike for Ireland

  5. Depends where he plays before the next MLS season starts, but I can see him playing a few more games for England. But why would he play more games for England? They'll surely qualify for the euros easily
  6. Not that bad a player really, a class above here in this game. Will be back in the championship in a couple of seasons I'd say
  7. Watching St Pats vs Legia Warsaw in the champions league qualfiers. Legia clearly the better side but Keith Fahey and Killian Brennan are really playing well for Pats

Barring a massive injury crisis,I think Arsenal will qualify for the champions league easily. They are much better than Liverpool and Man Utd on paper IMO
  9. Hope he does well. Stoke actually have a stockpile of forwards, Osaze, Crouch, Arnautovic, Diouf. Definitely will not be easy to get into the side. Great young talent. It is a shame he's gone to that club. It seems as though Kalou has decided to skip training at Lille. Presumably to force/facilitate a move back to the Premiership. Why is it a shame he's gone there? He'll probably be a starter for one of the best teams in Europe

How is Robbie Keane doing these days?
  11. So we made them look better than they are then. Pardew out.

If Arsenal got one more to quality player I could really see them winning the league this season

Can you give some reasoning behind that opinion?
  14. I think he's a quality player who will do really well back in France. Never got a fair crack at it here and played well when he did get a chance

    Football pet hates

I'd love to know what he is bottling by retiring
  16. Are Spurs actually going for Huntelaar or did you just make it up for the purposes of the pun?

Why do footballers have to get their boots cleaned anyway? Its not like they're playing in shit pitches
  18. Sissoko looked fucked after 60 mins last season, and I like the guy. In Sissoko's case it could be to do with basically doing all the attacking by himself once Cabaye left

For 14m you should be getting a player that significantly improves your team, not a guy who didn't stand out in a relegation threatened team He blatantly did stand out for them mind. Did he? Scored a few important goals towards the end of the season but didn't think he was considerably better than the rest of their players over the duration of the season He was. He was the main threat, especially when Poyet stuck him up top. Clearly one of their best performers if not the best. Fair enough You obviously watched them more often than I did

Is it possible that the players didn't even know about the Newcastle fans on board the crashed plane? Like its a plane to New Zealand, they've probably been on it for hours and its only 3/4 hours after the news broke of the Newcastle fans that, that photo was taken

  23. With £75m to spend, they should be signing someone a lot better. Well its easy to say that, but its more difficult to actually give names
