Did he laser their eyes and make them forget how to pass?
-
So did Longstaff 1 and 2 initially....

Unpopular opinion....Sam was sold down the river a bit when he joined us. No argument that he was absolutely terrible as a manager for us, but Shepherd went for him as he'd shown at Bolton he could make a decent team on a very limited budget by getting outcasts/rejects/olders to work well. We were skint at the time and needed someone to find cheap/hidden gems in the same fashion. Allardyce always said he came here as he would be allowed a big budget and thought he'd be able to spend far more than he did. Didn't help himself with his attitude to us, and it probably was a good thing that he didn't get serious money to spend. We'd probably still have Campo and Okocha on contract now if he did.

RTG? Seems to be highly concentrated makem nuggets. Most in real life seem fairly normal...almost like real people
-
Do not underestimate the power of the dark side £££££
-
So basically no one, including the referees know how it's supposed to work
-
Well not really....the Ederson/Fraser thing was a massively 'clear and obvious' mistake almost universally agreed (even by commentators that openly hate us) that it should have been a penalty, yet VAR agreed with the referee? Only Pep afterwards outwardly agreed that it was the right call, and you could literally hear his brain screaming that it was wrong but he had to say it it was right. Almost up there with Martinez claiming McLeans challenge on Haidara was fair.
-
Yep....there's been so many stupid/avoidable goals conceded without the other team even needing the readily available and given help from referees and VAR. Conspiracy time.....where we've had shocking referee/VAR decisions, we've already been losing. Could this be the PL be trying to make a point that they control the ultimate results of games WWE style without actually saying it?

Gives the appearance of a player who either started to believe their own hype, lost interest or simply peaked too early in his career and is on the way down. Happens quite a lot...Adriano is a decent example of this
-
Barring the fact that Hughes was actually a lot better than Dummett has ever been
-
Trippier certainly would be a statement of intent and isthe best player we've been linked with so far
-
Dzeko would be a disaster for us at his age now. He wasn't quick enough for this league when he was last here, and he's only got slower. Mitrovic would be a better signing at present. That does not mean i think he would be a good signing or someone we should look at
-
It's not exactly the statement of intent we were all hoping for though is it? Yes he may well be better than what we have (not difficult), but it doesn't indicate that there are plans for massive investment in the playing squad Plus, I thought it was a given that the '6' had agreed to refuse to deal with us. Hope it's not true as all PIF/Stavely/Rueben choices so far stink of pulling the pissed ugly munter at the end of the night 'cos it's all they can get rather than putting in effort to get who they actually want
-
Ian Rush, John Barnes, Stuart Pearce........all superb players in their prime Didn't work out too well for us
-
So they still have to sell before spending anything then
-
So it resets after 3 years then gets ignored? Didn't know that was how it worked
-
Well yes, but they still have to sell before they can buy
-
Everton haven't got 20p to spend on anyone at the minute
-
While i agree that in a few years there probably won't be many better places, i'd happily argue that most are not able to see beyond the next pay packet. Some will come here for the obscene amounts it would take to get them, some will use us to get better deals out of their existing clubs, some will refuse as they can't look beyond the table, and some may well just be happy to stay where they are. Could also potentially say that the ones that do come for money now will be aware that they will be replaced before things get properly good and it's them rather than us for a change that have been used as the 'stepping-stone'
-
Whys that? He's not in great favour at Everton at the moment, they're skint and could do with selling off a few players, and it's not like anyone else is tripping over themselves to sign him.

Some people simply aren't happy if they're not miserable. Everyone knows someone like this....

Dmitri Kharine

Julien Speroni.....played at Dundee when I lived up there and ended up at Palace. Very definition of Dodgy Keeper. Never trust a keeper who wears trackies
