Supposedly.... Like Celtic were Robbie Keanes, and Liverpool, and Tottenham
-
He did try he was just way past his best when we got him. He'd probably be much more highly thought of if it wasn't for that one absolutely disgraceful performance in the cup vs ManU, where he spent the entire game passing to them, and then proceeded to have a good laugh with the opposition at the end. We've easily had 10 worse centre midfielders than him since
-
Is he even still playing?
-
Can't disagree, but West Ham are basically his boyhood team....no way he'd put in the same effort for us
-
You want canny porn, try Redtube, you want fat people falling over Youtube, conspiracy theories RTG
-
Lingard isn't right for us. He'd be Nicky Butt MkII. He just appears to have the attitude of a player who thinks they're much better than they actually are. Yes he's a million miles better than anyone we have, just don't see him coming here and putting the effort in to actually show it.
-
I've never seen or heard anything of value on twitter. Don't get it...it just looks like a platform for attention seekers to seek attention Real news will appear on BBC or Sky, Social commentary will come from Karen on Facebook
-
Think that was the game that properly broke him as a top flight player, and his feeble attempt at a dive for a penalty sealed it in his mind that he was never going to be idolised at Liverpool or anywhere else other than what he could have had here. Really believe that was his 'here's what you could have won' moment.
-
He must have been pretty good at something at somepoint down the line to have lasted so long. Just put him back there....even if it is just the ticket office.
-
All still several miles away from the city itself, and none with any relevance to seahorses
-
We may as well have a couple of cows that the freemen are supposedly allowed to let loose in the ground should they choose
-
All the more worrying that he's said 'hi' then
-
Yep....changing the Crest is bottom of a long list of other priorities. Watch it get changed next week....Charnley logic
-
Fancy name, a bit of experience abroad. Smoke and mirrors. A good manager is a good manager. Vieira is 'ok' but gets a lot more leeway because of his name. If he was called Billy Smith from Croydon with the same experience and ability he would have already been sacked, despite the fact he wouldn't have got the job in the first place.

Saw a shark in the Tyne once....its on Youtube
-
Yes really. We're not exactly Grimsby, or even Sunderland where the ground in only 1 or 2 miles from the sea. Historically it may have been relevant with coal shipping and ship building but they're long gone. Now Newcastle does not rely on being a coastal city at all
-
Kind of admire them in a way....everyone knows you're not International footballers, you know before you even start you're going to be bent over and s***ged. Everyone knows you will go back to your real job after the match. But if i lived in a place that small with so few options, I'd happily jump at the chance to be called up no matter how embarrassing it might be.
-
We never knew what they really did. In terms of coaching and getting a team working it's very fair to say they aren't too good.
-
Think the sea-horses should go....we're not close enough to the sea for a maritime reference to be particularly relevant now that there's no shipping of coal along the Tyne. I love our current crest, and wouldn't change it, but if we have to then maybe we could have something like the Cityscape goalie top from 96/97
-
Palace and Stoke maybe?
-
I recall someone saying ages ago it was just because it was cheaper to print
-
Well they'll need someone to switch the lights on so the new person kin find the offices
-
I'd kind of like to see him have a second go here. Despite his reputation he was actually fairly productive for us in a dire team (compared to Gayle/Carroll/Joelinton) But when you can choose from the whole sweet shop why would you go for an aniseed ball.
-
A change of coach should do him good. He has the attributes to be useful as a crude Felliani type playmaker rather than a main striker, or wide player. Just give him simple instruction, like control the ball and pass it to Wilson or ASM and he could be potentially effective. Im still naïve in hoping there's still a player in there aren't I?
