Not on transfers....best gauge for them is to take an average of how many places report it rather than who is reporting it. For total reliability the BBC isn't too bad, but they generally only report after the event and anything speculative is labelled as speculative

De Jong's simply don't work for us. They either get punctured lungs from a light breeze, or can't kick a ball with enough force to get from the penalty spot to the goalkeeper.

Not necessarily....unless the candidate is out of work, immediately available, and meets the requirements it could easily take 3-6 months to get someone permanently. Most skilled jobs have a notice/gardening period unless the other company is willing to negotiate and wouldn't expect this to be any different for such a senior position.

It's all to do with keeping the 'show' in place. Ronaldo could do a leg breaking challenge in the first minute of a match and would not be sent off, while if lets say Dummett did he'd be off immediately. PL is closer to WWE than real sport now.

Wow....still think of Dummett as a youngster coming through the reserves. Didn't realise he's closer to retirement than starting. Sad state of affairs when he's been our only youth player to make it to the premiership for quite literally decades now.
