I'm totally failing to understand how they can even see that as remotely relevant. It's not like they can sell it to anyone ? Going by that logic our stadium is probably worth 20 times their record signing. How that matters to anyone is beyond me
  2. Probably is, however we may as well just let him go now....we don't need the cash, he's not getting in the team soon barring everyone else getting injured, he's not been great when he has been in the team, it is highly likely that we'll spend significant amounts of money on midfield if not now, but in summer when he's out of contract and not likely to get a new deal from us.
  3. Well even Championship midfielders go for 10-15m now
  4. If a PL team wants to pay 1m for a midfielder, they should be expecting a 16 year old or someone of League 1 standard (which Sean is).
  5. And thanks to Big Mike doing his best Scrooge impression FFP will not be an issue for at least a couple of years even without new sponsors
  6. And we are now in a position to match or improve on anything anyone can offer. Plus Barcelona are still pretty much up the creek regarding paying salaries
  7. Why can some people still not grasp how appealing an extra 0 on the wages offered can be, especially when agents are involved
  8. Hell, even Fat Sam managed to get a tune out of mid 30's Okocha, Campo, Hierro and Nakata
  9. A one legged blind donkey is better looking and a better footballer than all our current midfielders J7 aside (only on current form....want to see his improvement last at least half a season before believing its not just a purple patch/new manager bounce)
  10. Problem with that is that there aren't that many of them....which is why the clubs tend to be in the bottom half to start with
  11. If Ramsey came in and managed to play 5 games between now and May it would be a highlight for him to retire on.

That is exactly what they did....he scores more goals per £ than Wilson ever does/has so is therefore better. Still not sure how they rectified the 'divide by 0' problem, but who are we to question the makematical geniuses? Should be working in CERN giving Brian Cox a challenge.
  13. If Trippier's the start and we survive this season it could be a lot quicker than we all hoped. They've managed to convince one of the best fullbacks around to join a relegation threatened team. If that level of ambition sticks there's no reason why we couldn't be semi-challenging by 2024

Of course not...they've got massive reasons to rejoice as their neighbours have just spent 12m (really 50 ;-)) on a past it fullback for 250K every week for ten years, who isn't even good enough to to play for that second rate team from Madrid We've made ourselves a laughing stock while they are the football leagues best friends and universally loved by all other 90 teams, so what's there to be mad about?

While they (or anyone for that matter) hasn't got a clue who exactly owns let alone runs their club at the minute.
  16. We really need to get past this notion that 10m is a lot for a transfer now Years of neglect have got us stuck in the mindset that 20M is a lot. When in reality that wouldn't even buy the best striker in the championship now
  17. More importantly as we have learned.....what are their Human Rights like? Heard that Slobodan Milosevic was a bit of a wrong'un. He was Serbian so clearly is directly responsible for them despite being dead for 14 years
  18. Weren't Chinese nationals recently banned from investing in foreign interests by their own government? Sure i read that somewhere but could well be just making it up No didn't make it up.... https://www.dw.com/en/chinas-communist-party-forcing-investors-to-pull-money-out-of-european-football/a-57171818
  19. It'll end up being "undisclosed" To everyone except makems who will say it was 150m and all the money were allowed to spend for the next three years

Got to be taking the piss surely? If you've ever contemplated buying a laptop in the last ten years you can't not have heard of Dell
  21. Still would be a better signing than Kuqi/Carroll. At least he can still move
  22. Standard transfer stuff. Players are never for sale until the £££ starts flying around. A good seller never says their best merchandise is available for the first offered price. If we want Botman and he wants to come, he'll end up here
  23. They didn't get a trophy for a year? The worlds smallest violin is playing just for them.
