No they won't. They'll make a big show of 'not wanting to deal with us', but when it comes down to it it'll be a case of 'an offer too good to refuse'. Money from a Saint is no different to the money from a Sinner. If anything the first club to actually sell us a player will probably get more scorn than us.

This is Owen Mk II. His entire time here was spent with people asking when's he going back to Liverpool. Unless Gerrard seriously bombs with Villa he will be Liverpools manager when they sack Klopp (or the German national team comes calling...only job I could see him taking now)
-
Sod them. There's plenty of other players that would improve us and gladly join without even looking at PL cast-offs. Not that they'll refuse to deal with us anyway....as someone said earlier transfers are completely agent driven, and an extra 0 to their pay will have them tripping over themselves to get players to us. Yes there'll be a lot of noise and bull, but ££££ speaks....when Chelsea got took over they were linked to more than 1000 players and ended up with 5

Inces managerial ego grew far quicker than his experience and ability which is exactly why he's not a manger any more
-
Whatever the ultimate intention is, no-one walks away from a £300m investment after a month unless the business is an absolute irrecoverable terminal decline that came as a hidden shock. Even Enron had investors wanting to buy them right up until the last second
-
There's no way that is actually true. ITs just sensationalism to bump up the prices if we come looking. We all know club owners are generally money driven scumbags and would take the last penny from their granny if it made the accounts look better. A pound made from NUFC is the same as a pound made from any other club
-
I would like to see him bomb spectacularly, but think he'll actually do ok. Yes i know he's only been Rangers manager and not really been challenged, but it will have instilled a winning mentality which is just as difficult to shake off as a losing one.. Hell even Souness managed win a few things after spending a few years there winning most matches. Reckon he'll take Villa to solid mid-table. Not really in any danger of relegation and maybe a few shock results here and there to solidify his media image of the 'new' PFM

Harper should never have got anywhere near that job. Don't know if he got it because he is called 'Steve' or because he 'knows the club'
-
This is a more exciting appointment than Eddie tbh
-
attitude or not even at his worst he's still a million miles better than Shelvey
-
Howe like.... Can aaaa borrow 20p off ya to buy a tab of yaa Buzzcocks gig:
-
I can feel the hate. It's nice
-
Be in for a shock when the players don't show up as they thought it was a day off
-
This....he seems to have gotten a great reputation for giving youth a chance, when in reality he didn't actually have any other choice.
-
Supposedly. Thats why they wont get him...
-
That's the thing...you are still in a fight. A little bit of form and some dodgy results for City/Liverpool/Cheslea and you're still right up there.
-
He probably is pretty good, but he doesn't have Klopp/Pep reputation. He's got a fairly average team not a million miles away from the top. Rep is probably distorted by the money spent . No doubt he would take our lot down though
-
Think Simeone's set for his career now...all Man U can offer him is grief and even more cash than he's already on. Seriously doubt Zidane would go anywhere but French national team, or Juventus now. Might end up at Bordeaux in about 10 years if he ends up not being as good as everyone thinks/
-
This role is becoming more poisonous than ours. Anything less than a title is considered a failure, and there's probably only 2 or 3 in the world that could do that currently and at least 2 are at Man Us biggest rivals. Time for Man U to get creative and look outside the box in the same way Arsenal did when they found Wenger messing around in the J-League Or they could put their money where their mouth is, and follow all the pundits suggestions of how good a manager Bruce is and go with him. He did such a good job with us, imagine how well he could do with Man U, freedom to spend and fans that only have good memories of him....after all he knows and loves the club.
-
Mike Ashley? Steve Bruce? Lee Charnley? Boom theres three fully understandable answers
-
That's the thing though....the man u job disguises everything if they're not in the top two for most of the time. Problem is they can't rely on reputation to get that high up anymore. They've chewed through a few very good managers since Ferguson left..but he left a legacy which would be virtually impossible to follow now
-
Well if they've got a boat they can retrieve some of those fans the North Sea allegedly took
-
I doubt it's a role that has any use anywhere any more.
-
Well that's only thing joelintion is remotely competent at. We've seen he can't shoot for toffee...only weaker I've ever seen at shooting was luuk de jong. Doesn't have great intelligence to pick a pass before he gets the ball, but can do the chest control and simple pass
