This season the vast majority of poor RM performances I blamed on Rafa. Marcelo - top 3 LB's in the world James - if he played like he did under Carlo he would be a top 5 PL player (if he was in the PL) Modric - top 3 cm in the world Kroos - top 5 cm in the world Ramos - best CB in the world Ramos & Pepe - best CB partnership in Europe (alongside BBC) since Ferdinand/Vidic... all time great Heel defensive partnership Ronaldo - greatest ever RM player that i've seen Different opinion only...Would have Modric top 10 at best, and Ramos not even the best CB in Spain Name em. Only CM's on his level is Iniesta (who plays in a 3) and Busquets who is a totally different type of player. Nothing comes close in the PL. again he's been the most impressive CM in the tournament with his side falling apart in his absence. InSpain who is better than Ramos? Genuinely don't think anyone is close. Iniesta, Rakitic, Vidal, Pogba, Ozil, De Rossi, Matuidi for me at least are better CMs....Doesn't mean I'm right though, just opinion. As for Ramos, I consider both Varane and Pique to be better defenders. Mainly cos I simply don't like Ramos :-)

They'd be telling him to f*** off after 10 minutes man At his best for us was breaking in to space which seems to have been how Leicester won so many matches... No good in a compact team that needs to breakdown the opposition.

Be interesting to see his reaction when none of the traditional 'big' teams bid for him. Although i still maintain that I could see him fitting in to Leicester as an alternative to Albrighton given their counter attacking style...assuming the plan is to maintain that for next season.

Not really...in '82 the British record transfer was £1.5m. Liverpool paid £1.4 for Mark Lawrenson that same season. In '87 the record was £3.2m, and they paid around almost £2m for Beardsley the same year. Scale that up to current records (£59m presently?), and you'd be looking subjectively at tens of millions

Well not really...they tended to pay the going rate for players. A couple of million back then is more like 10 million plus now.

Seem to have him pegged on the Arsenal board for what he is....decent player on his day but those days are few and far between. Not many of them think he'd be any good for Arsenal.

Honesty is fine in the right place. Think it's his over-inflated idea of how good he actually is that winds people up.

He'll hang on for grim death for whatever 'loyalty' bonus he's due, unless Arsenal/PSG/Misc champions league team forget that they like players who can pass a football more than 3 yards without loosing it, and it's the mid-level teams that come in for him. All about money and/or prestige nothing else. I'm sure his champions league talk would evaporate if we waved a £300,000 per week contract (not that we would or that he deserves anything like that) at him and he'd suddenly be very happy to 'help us get back where we belong'

Any team that actually wants him will have watched a lot of his performances over the season I'd imagine, and will have seen his relative lack of technique and effort in many games. If by some wild stretch of the imagination Arsenal are interested, it'll be similar to Cabaye when they supposedly made him listen to Arsenals response when they heard his asking price (more than 10 million is a lot for a reserve), as there's no way anyone could think he was a 20 million pound player based on last season. Must be forgetting that scouts watch matches that aren't on TV too, where he did at least attempt to make some effort. Send him to the mackems...just for a laugh

Pretty sure they were for a good while but think they'd already dropped back a fair bit by then. Think it was built up a bit more as they were one of the few teams to beat us that year.

I don't get the impression he's got commercial deals like Beckham (just an example) coming out of his ears, and there's a heck of a lot of footballers who retire without ending up on Sky/BBC wherever, or becoming successful enough managers to continue living as they did.

How do they pass off the other 18 teams that didn't win the league and athe least two that were relegated with Prozone?
