  1. That's the thing though....the man u job disguises everything if they're not in the top two for most of the time. Problem is they can't rely on reputation to get that high up anymore. They've chewed through a few very good managers since Ferguson left..but he left a legacy which would be virtually impossible to follow now

    Sunderland

Well if they've got a boat they can retrieve some of those fans the North Sea allegedly took
  3. I doubt it's a role that has any use anywhere any more.
  4. Well that's only thing joelintion is remotely competent at. We've seen he can't shoot for toffee...only weaker I've ever seen at shooting was luuk de jong. Doesn't have great intelligence to pick a pass before he gets the ball, but can do the chest control and simple pass
  5. He could do a felliani type role with his physique. Doesn't need to be great at passing or shooting for it either
  6. Who cares... this isn't Mike Ashley territory anymore where 20m is the budget for winter and summer transfers including wages.
  7. Trippier would be a great signing for us. Massive upgrade on Krath/Manquillo. Not the priority position though But then again it's not like we can't afford it anymore
  8. They all went that way. Start ok, but gradually the inferiority complex wore them down till they went full RTG
  9. Well yes, it's well known that he stripped everything to the bone. Given the state Ashley left you could probably have run St James on £20-30 per week Depends how long this 40m has to last.....a week, a year?
  10. There's been a few. Watch your letter box, or you might end up with a wired jaw
  11. Well he's worth a go at least. Not one of the PFM crew, young enough to learn new tactics. Looks like a Houghton appointment to me, but as long as he doesn't spend all the time downplaying the club like Bruce he could end up doing well
  12. Someday? We already he know he left with the less than the bare minimum to run in any sort of effective way
  13. IT's underwhelming because of all the names we have been linked with. Still a million miles better than Lampard or Rooney though
  14. Can change it all they want now....anything which can disqualify our owners now will apply equally to Chelsea and Man City.
  15. Well he's a bit underwhelming, but seems to have some good ideas and is still young enough to learn. Who knows....he could do good things Not sure if trying to convince myself
  16. Well he's not spectacular, but good enough to have a chance and have some support. A bit like Houghton
  17. Can totally tell Freds's fondling Carols behind there
  18. At the time SA was a great appointment. We had no money and needed someone to build a team from nothing like he did at Bolton. Problem was he came to us thinking he'd have loads to spend, and Shepherd happily sold him that line, despite the fact that Souness had spent the next 5 years of available money
  19. Who says he's got a fresh chance? Conte will be even less tolerant than Nuno/Poch if he's not pulling his weight. He needs a new club/change of scenery to get his reputation back up.
  20. Don't think it will be Howe. Think there'll be someone else that just hasn't leaked out yet... Nothing other than a feeling to justify though.
  21. Constant leaks? There's been basically 1 significant leak since they took over. Other than that there's been nothing but press speculation
  22. So they've basically turned into Arsenal post-2005
